Dorian is gay? Well, im a bit disappointed. I guess im happy for the people that got what they wanted, but man oh man romances are going to be boring if you are straight.

 

And, of course, its also that wonderful time where i stay the hell out of these forums for a week.

 

Romances were boring for decades if you were gay.

I'm with those thinking it'll be 2/4/2 now. I don't think 2/2/2 can support race gating well. I think, if it's not 2/4/2, then Iron Bull is probably the only race gated option and maybe Varric picks up what he loses.  In which case, I think it would be like;

 

Cullen - Straight

Dorian - Gay

Iron Bull - Bi (Qunari & humans)

Varric - Bi (dwarves & elves)

 

But I'm still betting on either;

 

Solas - Straight

Dorian - Gay

Iron Bull - Bi

Cullen - Bi

 

OR

 

Solas - Bi

Dorian - Gay

Iron Bull - Bi

Cullen - Straight

 

 

I'll do female guesses, too --

I'm wondering (and granted I probably don't cruise the forums enough to know if this has actually been answered) if there will be bi romances at all.  If they just have straight / gay / race-gated and sacrificed bi-ships in order to have more romance content per character.  IDK though, I don't make video games, I just backseat drive them haha.  Really interested how to see how it pans out, I mean, as it is, straight male romances are sort of relegated to only female options right now, right?

Bioware hasn't failed me on romances yet (despite the weird choices we females got in ME3), so until after the game comes out and I actually EXPERIENCE the characters/story, I have speculations but no judgements.

Yeah really hoping it doesn't happen and still reasonably optimistic it won't.

I'd be extremely angry if it does turn out to be the case. Wouldn't rule out not buying from table of options.

Still think Cassandra will likely be straight option, especially if its some form of 2-2-2-1 with racial add on.

hopefully its still 2/4/2. Bold = confirmed romance options

Straight: Cullen, Vivienne

Bisexual: Cassandra, Scribbles, Iron Bull, Solas,

Gay: Sera, Dorian.

 

I'm guessing they'll include scribbles as an advisor counterpart to Cullen... Desperately hoping for Solas even who knows it may only be 2 Bi options anyways

Liara (in all games) and Kaidan (in ME3) are bisexual.

I'm still surprised by how often I hear people still assume bisexuality isn't real that its just 'a phase kids say to make them cool' or something just as dumb.

There was Kaidan and Liara but that was it if you don't count Allers or Kelly which I don't. Though ME3 wasn't very good when it came to spreading out the romances. So far in DA there have been at least two bi options so I'd be surprised if there wasn't any bi LIs in DAI.

I'd take Solas gladly over that. GLADLY. He could be the most diabolical cruel and manipulative person in DA and I'd prefer him over Blackwall.

Where was it said that he was dying? Also aside from ME2 where else has there been that kind of thing in a Bioware game? I'm curious since I've only played the DA and ME games.
