There is a differene if a man comes on to a women thats fine to you if your a straight women. But anders flirts where uncomfortable to straight men thats why a lot off people got angry about it.

 

I'm straight, and I wasn't uncomfortable about the scene; if Doran showed a romantic interest in my male Inquisitor, I wouldn't have an issue with it, even though it's something I wouldn't pursue on a canon run. I think it's sad that some people showed such disdain about a male companion hitting on a male protagonist. I don't think it warrants anger.

 

The only thing I saw off about it was the placement of the scene so close after Karl died (I thought Anders' grieving over Karl and his interest in the player should have been given a bit more space from each other), and providing rivalry (which came across as disapproval to me, similar to Fenris giving rivalry to Hawke if he endorses slavery and keeps Orana as a slave, which didn't make sense to me either because rivalry wasn't supposed to be disapproval).

 

I think Bioware took great steps in providing content for people who aren't straight, and I'm happy for those players who will get to romance Sera and Dorian with their Inquisitor.

Straight men can give feedback to bioware not just women or gays. Sorry that stuff that makes us feel uncomfortable does not to you.

Which romance prospects is everyone most excited about?

Dorian. I've been all about Dorian since we first saw him at the war table.

Seeing as how you have to start a flirt with steve first to start his romance bioware did. he wont flirt with you unless you start it first

 

But now they went ahead and made an openly gay guy a full-fledged companion. That's one step further than Steve, and Dorian will have more content and visibility.

 

And honestly the -no flirting unless the player initiates it-  thing should apply to female characters as well. Not only did Isabela proposition Hawke within minutes of meeting him, Hawke was also forced to make a facial expression that showed that he liked it, completely against the player's will.

Viv is just someone who I - based on swallow physical appearance alone - so totally want to be an LI. It's just so unfair if she's not. 

 

But, also, given the bold ... must... avoid... snarky ... line.

Of the characters we know are LIs, Cassandra and Cullen.

Rumor mill has it that David might be writing a romance where someone unexpectedly realizes they're attracted to an Inquisitor of the same sex. As Dorian appears to already be comfortable in his sexuality, I'm hoping Cassandra discovers she wants to submit to my qun.

By submit, I'm imagining it building for a long time as she ignores my PCs flirts and then pinning the PC to the wall one night and ravaging her in the middle of one of the Keep's hallways.

That might be too Fenrisy though...

I love the way Sera looks! I would love to romance Iron Bull, man I have a thing for Freddie Prince Jr. He sounds so excited to do voice work for Bioware!

I love her kinda ragged "I don't care" style. I just find it so adorable. c:

 

And indeed I love FPJ as well! He really made Vega for me (also had a huge crush on that character) so it just increases my excitement for IB. I'm also just really excited for a romance that isn't human or elven as well ~ so I really do hope for him as an LI.

I still don't get how straight females (or straight males) all suffer because their potential LI list is reduced to: Cullen, Blackwall, Solas (Cassandra, Vivienne or Scribble). I didn't put in Iron Bull nor Varric because I expect them to be race-gated if they are LI and Cole looks to dead for me to take him has a serious LI option.

 

Dorian or Sera aren't more conventional than anyone else here. The Inquisition is made of bunch of idealistic misfits who all go against the standard of their peers (well 9 out of 10, because we don't know anything about Solas nor much about how Cullen and Scribble end up has specialists).

 

I think IB, Solas and Varric are all outside the typical convention of "attractive" for a man. That's not to say they're not attractive (they're totally not my type, so I can't judge other than to say no thanks to them). Maybe Blackwall's conventionally attractive under the beard (which, again, no thanks), but his lumberjack look is also not what you see as, in the media, conventional male hottie.

The romance option I'm most excited about is... enh? I'd originally planned on Sera, but it sounds like she'll be... perhaps turned off by intense interest in magic, which my PCs are almost guaranteed to display. Her aversion to Cole speaks of some possible aversion to magic; I'm not positive about this, but since necromancers also seem to deal with spirits judging by what was said about Dorian, it's quite possible that she won't work too well with a necromancer. Which I will be.

 

So in that case, it'd be a choice between Vivienne and Cassandra, and I have my doubts about both of them... Cassandra being like a more militant version of Leliana, and Vivienne so far being extremely unpleasant-seeming. So really, I'll have to wait and see.

Iron Bull!  Physically he's not my type at all - aka he fugly - but I love how is personality sounds.  I really hope he's a LI and not a fling which is my only concern at the moment.

Also, Dorian for my mQuizzie.  But, honestly, I'm excited about any and everything...I'm easy to please.

Sera's okay and all, but Cassandra's been my Female's planned LI since day 1.

I'm straight, but I would totally dig Cass falling for my femQuizzie even if I have to turn her down.  She's gorgeous and a BAMF, I'd find it flattering if she spared my character a glance.

They took it further with Isabela than they did with Anders.  But that is perfectly okay with you.

 

All I'm saying is that you should see the other side of the issue, and think about how it would make you feel if content in a videogame, or any media, that reflects how you are in real life has to be made discreet so that it doesn't "offend people" and make them feel "uncomfortable."

I'm pretty stoked about Sera. After that Cass or Viv. I'm slightly more interested to Cass, but I've wanted Viv as an LI since the first time we saw her. Make sense of that if you can, cuz I sure can't.

Cassandra is my second favorite. I was on the fence about Vivienne in the beginning but she has since grown on me, so I'm also looking forward to her.
