Being incapable of consent =/= a child. Also.. he's not a corpse. He's a fade spirit, the original Cole is dead and gone.

Edit: I should clarify that I only mean that you do not need to be a child to be incapable of forming consent. Not... the other way around.

It's about not old enough to make judge decision which is basically what Cole is if his mind is that of a child. From the Law's standpoint, that's mainly what make it illegal. When you romance him specifically in this game, you would romance a corpse which contain Cole. I don't see the difference because the sex scene would happen with his corpse, not his spirit. I don't even sure what you're trying to argue here.

Honestly, I don't think we really know enough about the personality of everyone to guess who would hook up out of our companions. I have a really hard time making a guess at all, because we only know how a few people get along and we don't know most people's sexuality or availability.

Cole isn't a corpse... He is a physical manifestation of a spirit/demon. No where does it say he is a corpse. If he was a corpse, he'd be 12-15 and he clearly isn't.

All I was saying was that being a child is not the only reason a person would be incapable of consent. I still agree that he isn't capable of it. Also never said I wanted to romance him sooooo...

Do you believe there's any chance they might create all the content for a male PC romance with Sera in three months? Or that Bioware will change idea about the LI's sexualities at this point ?

I see, it seems kinda of obvious though, I'm just talking about things which applied to Cole himself, so that's why I was referring specifically to his child mentality, of course it's not the only reason a person would be incapable of consent.

I didn't realize I needed one to state the obvious. The obvious which has already been confirmed by the devs. 

 

They are in bug squashing mode now as far as the game is concerned, they aren't going to make any drastic changes to the game at this stage, especially not changing a characters sexual orientation.

Does anyone think the companions might romance one another if the protagonist doesn't pursue a romance with them, similar to Fenris and Isabela being together?

 

If they do would be nice if some of them are actual relationships instead of just physical ones, make them vary a little but it would be nice to see that happen. No idea if it will though.

No, I just don't believe in absolutes until it is confirmed by Bioware themselves.

Changing Sera's sexuality in 3 months is not realistic. When the game comes out, try the options. If you don't like them, then that's too bad.

I'm not saying it will change, I just don't think we as fans and not Bioware should say anything is final unless it's been stated by Bioware. I cool with Sera being lesbian now that I've gotten over the initial news, I don't want to come off as butthurt.

It wouldn't for me since how would my character know it was going to happen? Now I may feel bad maybe but my Inquisitor wouldn't. Though getting in the way of someone else finding happiness has been something I've been doing for a long time with a lot of my games so maybe I'm just used to it by now

I don't think we need Bioware's confirmation when we can use logic. The writers put a lot of work into their character so I doubt they're going to change the orientation of a love interest 3 months before a game releases. The only reason happened with Kaiden was because you played the same character and all of the characters returned. Its not a big deal that Sera is lesbian. I'd be disappointed if I couldn't romance a certain character, but romance isn't the most important part of the game in the long run. Let it go.

I purposefully romanced Fenris, but then had a proper romance with Anders just so he wouldn't get with Isabela
I have no regrets.

I'm pretty confident that the sexuality of both Sera and Dorian is going to come up when Gaymer Con starts up on the 11th of July.  Then we could probably snag video to confirm this again, since it is apparently needed.

 

Or someone could tweet and ask the writers if Sera's sexuality is going to change before the game comes out.  I'm sure they could use the laugh.
