Waiting for Kaidan is a drag but ME2, for me, is great so I let it slide. ME1's combat and no Kaidan make it a real trudge. I've played it 3 times I think but if I wanted a new character with a different name I'd probably just use the comic which I've used a couple of times when I couldn't be bothered. I know the story inside and out now and there's no huge benefit to importing a save over the comic like there is between 2 and 3.

It's funny I did the comic multiple times as well but not once could I choose Ashley, she's just too much of a racist, specieist would be the correct term, ******.

I wish it wasn't a problem for me, but it kind of does take something away that Zevran talks way more about being into women than men. I don't even care that he's super flirty, I just wish it was more balanced. At the same time, I know some people are just slanted towards one gender, but bisexual men are always slanted towards women in media.

But I really like Zevran. I don't mean to make it sound like I don't. I love him as a character and, for the most part, I enjoyed his romance.

I must have done his romance wrong then cause all I got was him just calling me a friend :(

During the romance? Or at the gates? You have to ask him why he keeps declining to join you in your tent (I think you get that dialogue after he refuses three times). Then things fall into place from there. At the gates, there's a glitch that gives the Friend dialogue to romanced Wardens, too. There's a mod that fixes it.

Because Fenris generates enough of that himself?

Pretty much. But after Danarius has been dealt with, he seems to chill out as long as Anders and Merrill aren't around to annoy him.

Aw, poor Zev. He falls in super love with the Warden. It makes me sad when people don't think he does, because I way over-identify with how he withdraws when things start getting "real" for him. Falling in love is scary for a lot of people, especially those with trust issues or who have survived relationship abuse of any stripe, and I think the last few beats of his romance reflect that pretty well. I think that his last romance conversation and his good-bye at the Denerim gates are heartbreakingly genuine (and made even more effective in contrast with his usual glibness).

I never had the feeling that he wasn't really in love with the warden either. It's true though that I love his usual glibness  :P  the ring bit was "romantic"/"serious"/"deep" enough for me... I'm very fond of that kind of fun, ligth-hearted romances and it fits well a character like him.

Edit: in fact, if I could change anything about his romance, it'd be those dialogues about him being scared about the relationship getting too serious...

Well, you kinda have to look at his options. Out of the men in the party, excluding the Warden, only Alistair is his type.

Yeah, I didn't realize it was a glitch, but on the 360 console you do get the romance conversation if you choose to leave him behind, just not if you take him with you to fight the archdemon.

All the companion/companion pairings are straight so far.  I'd love to see some queer ones in Inquisition.  I might be reading too much into it, but based on Dorian's interview I think he and the Iron Bull have potential as an interesting couple.

The women are a no go, unless it's Vivienne/Cassandra...

I could see Dorian pursuing Iron Bull just to increase his pariah status.

Yeah I did the romance wrong then I read somewhere that you're not suppose ask him that because it would end the relationship automatically so I never asked him that. And if its a glitch then I'm doomed since I have not the slightest idea how to install mods^^; Ah well but nice to know the other part now and get to it when I pick up DAO again. ^_^

I hope to woo Vivienne myself, but Sera and Cass could be adorable together.

I've only picked Ash once but it was agony. The only reason I don't pick her though is because I love Kaidan and I would still pick him even if he wasn't an LI for my Shep. I don't think she's quite the space racist people make her out to be though. Her religion and love of poetry bother me more. I can't stand listening to poetry read aloud. It makes me cringe when people try to put so much feeling into their delivery, Blech... Not to mention quoting Tennyson or any poet to make a point instead of using their own words is beyond pretentious. That being said, I still quite like her. She's kinda spunky and funny and if the choice had been between Kaiden, Ashley and Liara, Liara would have been left on Virmire. She's creepy and weird in ME1 and her whole innocent act grates on me. I don't hate Liara but I feel like she's always being pushed in Shepard's direction.

I've been told If she were shot during the Citadel coup, she would curse Shepard. Kaidan would just moan. Never tried it myself though MY GOD I didn't even have the heart to wake him :P

Anyway, I might be missing something here, but I don't quite get why people seem to get the impression that Iron Bull swings both ways. Not that I'm complaining. Not at all.

They said and I'm paraphrasing that IB hits on anything that moves, I believe that is why people assume he swings both ways.

So IB's the flirt? As long as he backs off when asked I don't see the issue. *shrug*

The first time I played, I didn't have an imported save (so no extra reputation, no saving the council, no saving the Salarian councillor from Kai Leng) and I didn't lower my weapon and ended up getting him shot. I threw the controller across the room because I had just spent almost 50 quid to romance the guy and there he was lying dead on the floor. I was straight online searching "HOW DO I SAVE KAIDAN!!!!???" and ended up having to back to just after Mars to get all the rep I needed and make sure I'd visited him on every possible occasion in hospital.

Re: IB. His bio says that he will sleep with anyone that won't break. People thinks that means he's bi and could be race-gate. No-one knows for sure though.

That... Must have been agonizing... Never forget to bring the drink. Our Canadian man loves the buzz :P

Getting back to IB... Is it even physically possible for him to not break elves...?

Yeah.... I suspect if he is a romance (here's hoping), he's restricted to other qunari and possibly humans as well.

Not that I really mind, personally. If I do get to romance him, I plan to do it on a Femquisitor qunari

We're tougher than we look. But the only way IB would get the chance with my PC is to break me beforehand.

If he is an LI and race gated (which I'm sure he will be race gated) then I think he'll be available to both qunari and humans it would be kind of odd if any of the LIs were restricted to only one race. I originally wanted to romance him with a dwarf but I've given up that hope a while ago :( So I'll just roll a human or qunari for him probably a qunari don't care much to play as a human :)

Maybe qunari and dwarves are the only ones tough enough.
