Honestly, I still think it's likely to be 2/4/2. I don't think IB will be the only bi male, if he's an LI at all.

Actually, if Cullen is straight, and it's divided to 2/4/2, it would mean that the m/m romance will have all 3 companions. As much as I love Cullen, that seems like a pretty awesome trade off. lol
Since they brought back random kissing and conversations. It sounds more beneficial to have companions. It's a lot more romantic to fight alongside your LI.

Because they see it as unfair their exclusive option is an NPC while the gay options are companions. A lot of gays and lesbians weren't a fan of their options being relegated to NPC status in ME3. I am used to this treatment as mentioned before, but a lot of straight guys see that as unfair. They're used to preferential treatment. That would make it worse in a way. There is a mentality that companions are better than NPCs in term of connections and romances, so when their exclusive option is not the best, there will be riot. I'm pretty sure Cassandra, and if based on that theory Blackwall, will be the straight options.
Why do people think The DA team bases its romances on the whims of straight men?
Another poster was talking about Vivienne and how straight men would be disappointed if she were the only straight woman available. David told him BioWare didn't care.

My guess is because ME did that (despite it being a different team), and (some) felt Bioware's pre-DA/ME romances also catered to straight dudes.
Although people being disappointed at the availability of Viv is just pure insanity to me.

I don't really think the NPCs will be the hetero options. I think they might be "extra" bisexual options and there will be 2/2/2 among the companions. We'll see, though.

This, I stopped worrying when Sera was announced as lesbian, and, more generally, DA is less of a straight male fantasy than ME.

I totally agree, but also, I question men whose fantasy wouldn't involve either Cass or Viv.

I could actually see virtually all Companions being available, except for Cole. Blackwall, Varric, Bull and Solas each race-gated for their own Race. Cullen as the straight male for all races. Cassandra/Vivienne as one straight and one bisexual Woman. Scribbles as another bisexual Option. Sera and Dorian as lesbian and Gay respectively. Ta-daah. Everyone is happy!

I think we might be getting more than 6, but I think it's likely that it wont be all or all but one companion. We might be overreaching a little there. lol

Bioware decides who becomes an LI even before the design for the character is created. That you find Sera as the most appealing girl is pure coincidence. Devs certainly thought that Cassandra, , Scribe girl and Vivienne were all gorgeous. So when a straight guy is saying that Bioware is catering to gay people because they gave them something that is appealing , while the other are ugly to those guys, I laugh. It's just about having different tastes.
That's also why I think that it is useless to ask Bioware to make an Li available to everyone, when everything is already set and done with the writting since a long time ago.

I think that makes sense. You'd rather have your favorite character be a romance then just romance a character only because they are a love interest. That's why I romanced Morrigan in Origins, she was my favorite character.

With Dorian now confirmed as an LI and Scribbles all but confirmed with the "some advisors are romanceable" comment from one of the devs, it seems like the survey theory was right after all.
Scribbles all but confirmed? Sorry I am not sure I follow, did I miss something? They could just mean Cullen, but I admit that it is unlikely

It feels like not making Iron Bull or Varric a LI would be a missed oppertunity. As I said, I'm going to find something to like about all the romances I do. I just feel like if they don't they'll be wasting something. Especially with Iron Bull's bio saying he'll bed anyone he thinks he won't break. Anyone BUT the inquisitor seems kind of a cop-out.

The theory goes that since Cullen was a confirmed LI by the time the interview that said "some advisers are romancable" came out, it means more than one since if it was only Cullen why not just say Cullen because it was already revealed. That leaves Leliana and Scribbles, and Leliana is confirmed to not be an LI so that brings it down to just Scribbles.

Romancing Cullen to my saarabas might be fun for the irony. Scribbles might be more appealing if we knew anything about her.

I have a question. I know it was said that advisors will be available for romance (obviously, Cullen is one). But did they say Cullen, Leliana, and Scribbles were the only advisors? Maybe there are more that will be available as smaller romances, kinda like the sort of smaller content you got with Steve and Samantha in Mass Effect , or the previous romance options that weren't companions from ME2.
Just a thought.
