Because FemShep talked to him like a cat in heat.
Then they ruined any well adjusted and niceness in ME3.
It got ruined for me when Jacob started talking about "Da prize"
Not that I ever romanced him, but that really was an awkward line.

Garrus is more well-adjusted than Jacob IMO and is the decided fan favorite. Also, leaving aside ME2, Kaidan is rather well-adjusted and the ladies seem to love him, too.
It totally can be done.
...you know very well I didn't mean that literally.
Jacob was BioWare's attempt at a nice, well-adjusted LI. People didn't like him.
Except for the fact that in ME3 while Femshep is in the slammer without a choice he's off making mini-Jacobs with some other scientist chick.
Yeah, that's pretty well-adjusted.

I only did his romance once, but it didn't feel nice to me, maybe well-adjusted, but not really nice... I remember him being all the time like "hey, not so fast" and "mind your own business". I ended up feeling like the only right way to go with him was going almost fully renegade and even so, I felt the need to dump him afterwards for Thane or Garrus
I might not remember well the details of the dialogues, but I definitily remember feeling a little like "what's wrong with you?" Lines for femShep were also pretty bad, that didn't help either

Yeah I saw that youtube vid how he busted the I love you line if femShep didn't want to sleep with him. Uber skeezy.

Totally. But the mental image of FemShep yowling and rubbing her ass against male crewmembers amused me.

You couldn't romance him in ME 3.
Hahahahhaah exactly!!
Garrus in ME 2 is becomes Batman, is torn up with guilt about the loss of his squad, gets part of his face blown off, and his personal quest is about murdering the man who betrayed him.
That's not well-adjusted.
I very much disagree. Yes, these extreme things have happened to him and around him, but Garrus himself is always even-tempered and rational. His face getting blown off? Big deal - he makes a joke about it RIGHT OFF THE BAT. He readily speaks about his feelings over his crew to Shepard & he listens to her if she argues his POV over Sidonis, and - whats more - will concede to her over Sidonis if she pushes the issue & later expresses thanks. This is a rational, well-adjusted adult.
Also, everyone's personal quest is about revenge over something.
That would make an interesting roleplay: Femshep in heat on Jacob since Kaidan dumped her, then when Jacob stabbed her in the back she preys on Vega...
*shudders*
That could kind of happen in the game with the Citdel DLC *shudders* yeah do not want
will make my cousin try it though so I don't' feel guilty and can blame it on them ![]()

Now that's something I could totally see Miranda do.
Solas seems more like a Garrus than a Jacob in terms of drama levels and level of adjustedness..
Was Jacob really that stable? Because it seemed to me like he and Miranda were having a daddy issue competition. lol

Ugh that's so wrong.

"Molester Femshep" so much NOPE D:
Now that's something I could totally see Miranda do.
I think Miranda couldn't help but rub her ass on anyone/thing in the room with her. Especially the camera.

Compared to Anders and Fenris, Garrus is pretty much perfect. He's rash and impulsive, but he's always nice to Shep. He isn't clingy or melodramatic. He doesn't storm off in a huff. In other words, he's someone I could actually see myself in a long-term relationship with.
Oh come on, Fenris wasnt that bad....eh maybe

...dude (dudette?), his character development mission is a reckless, bloodly roaring rampage of revenge complete with torture and outright murder unless Shepard gets in the way. Literally.
That is not being even-tempered and rational.
Yes, but what DAI companion would do that?
Dorian or Iron Bull
Yes, but what DAI companion would do that?
Cole. No question.

I liked the Garrus romance because when it came down to it, he would do anything for Shep. +He doesn't complain ALL THE TIME like Anders and Fenris (haven't romanced him).

Eh, I don't think it was much of a competition.
Miranda's daddy issues were 'I was created, I'm not responsible for any of my successes, I have self-esteem issues to this day.'
Jacob's daddy issues consisted of 'I grew up without my dad, became a successful person on my own right, have no issues hanging over me.'
Yes, but what DAI companion would do that?
Leliana? If you asked?
