We like to be pretty fair in our guesses, but it will be interesting to see what the choices are in the end. Devs never guarantee fairness (Sebastian for DA2, for example), just that people will have choices.

In Dragon Age, we've never even seen a human/elf pairing because...let's face it, there's a lot more room that needs to be covered as far as reconciliation is concerned. I'd currently place the relationship dynamic as a comparative mix between the Jim Crow era and the Jewish Ghettos
Well it's not like interracial relationships didn't happen back then, though. They happened frequently, though perhaps not so frequently as today. They weren't (always) so open, and they were scandalous, but they happened.

There is a clear difference between humans of different ethicity and two different species entirely. Humans have been on top since they destoyed Arlathan and they have no respect for elves unless they are grey wardens. And even then they don't see an elf, they see a grey warden as Garahel and the elven HOF have proven.
Yes, I'm going to play that card, because it's applicable. Elves are used as a cipher for oppressed cultures in the real world(dalish are analogues for the roma, city elves for jews). Their situation is meant to reflect that of real world ethnic groups who've been treated as something other than and less than human throughout history.
Saying interracial relationships between elves and humans is "wrong" is no different than saying interracial relationships in real life is wrong.

They didn't promise it, but I hope they are. If the counts are going to be unbalanced, honestly I wish they would have just done a small number of bi LIs. We'll see.

Sexuality isn't necessarily fixed. Even if you could argue he was straight in Origins, as he didn't hit on flirt with nervously flutter around a gentleman warden, he may not be now.

Why not? If you think he can't come out of the closet, see my post about Meredith Baxter. Also, he could have been written as bisexual from the start much like Anders was. It's unlikely, but the possibility is there and we can't dismiss the idea entirely.
Plus, I think he would make for an excellent m/m romance, as well as a f/m one. He's not my type, but I can certainly see his appeal and I would love it if all of his fans (despite the term "fangirls," he does have plenty of male fans) could have him available. He might not be, but that isn't going to stop me from hoping it happens for his fans.
I'm honestly just as happy with either Cullen or Solas as a bi LI. I guess Cullen as bi because, for now, I'm going to guess NPCs are bi. I agree, though, that there's no promise at all that they will be.

Minor nitpick: While Cole might be considered asexual, I doubt that Solas and Blackwall are. There is a huge difference between no LI status and their sexuality. If you're curious about real asexuality, there is some nice folks on the forums that would gladly talk to you (as long as you remained polite, of course.) Blackwall, for example, could be straight just not available to the player.
