Indeed! and thus why I'm hoping IB will take up that very role! I'm all for finally having a Qunari (and Dwarven) romance, and hoping DA:I brings those things. :3

 

I wish I could say the same because it does look like IB has a good chance be an option, but he' doesn't look very "sten-ish" to me   not enough seriousness and too much horns   He might surprise me, but for now I'm still hoping for Sten to come back in the future... which probably is less likely than me changing my mind about IB

Well, confirmation that back when she worked on DA:I, Dagna was in the game.

Writing, making a character model and getting voiceovers cost money, I doubt they would completely cut her out of the game.

I was just being a bit cutsey. She's unlikely to have been cut.

Indeed, I doubt she was cut, expecially considering we saw in/game evidence. I doubt they'd cut a character that they 'show' already.

I just had a thought. We had the option to help Dagna, but what about those players who refused to help her? Would her position in DAI change depending on what her fate was in DAI?

 

When a character's fate is variable like that, it seems unlikely they'll be a major character

Well, It's possible that she is present in the game based on our choices, but I personally think she'll be in anyway, just with some differences based on the outcomes in DAO.

The player can make a choice but they can't dictate how Dagna will respond to said choice. Dagna doesn't take no for an answer! People can take issue with it but the possibilty that Dagna will leave for the Circle, despite the player refusing her, just makes her character stronger.

I definitely agree and hope BW aren't afraid of pissing off those who refused to help her. I WANT to see Dagna in DAI and I'd love it if she had a big role... and if she were a romance

In the case she's a LI, she'd likely be exclusive to dwarves probably.
On her inclusion in the game, Laidlaw said they're not afraid of having exclusive contents based on your choices, both previous and in the current game. Though I'd prefer she's always in then to see another Mordin/Wrex situation.

If they're willing to bring Leliana back from the dead letting Dagna go to the Circle isn't a big deal.

I understand the disappointment, though I personally disagree, since so far we couldn't have a dwarf/dwarf pairing .
Anyway, with the race gating, this scenario seems very likely to me.

All we know is two for now: Cassandra and Sera.  Sera is a lesbian and Cass' sexuality is unknown at this time.

In Thedas, Dwarves are considered sturdy because they are. The extra con is to reflect this.

That you can gain 80 more con than a standard dwarf is because it's not just a fictional setting, it's an RPG. PCs experience dramatic increases in power over time that is in no way natural or reflective of the average person in the setting.

 

But! But! But I killed tons of demons and mages and abominations without challenge! Heck, I killed pride abominations as just another boss fight! How could they be serious threats then? If I can do it, anyone in the setting can!
