A Cole fan, yes, but a desperate asexual more so.   My secret desire is for Solas to be ace, but that is so unlikely that it's barely worth the energy to get my hopes up.

I could definitely see Solas as an asexual romance with the whole hermit thing he has going on, but I have to agree with you, I highly doubt that he is. At this point I'm not even sure if we're getting him as a LI at all. I think we're getting either him or Blackwall, but it's almost a coin toss which one. Although Solas does feel slightly more likely to me.

 

For this game, Cole is the best bet for an asexual LI, but I think it would be cool if in a future game they maybe used a follower of the Qun to explore asexuality a bit, seeing as how the Qun's concept of love isn't really sexual in nature.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if Solas isn't an LI. I would have easily guessed he'd been included before Blackwall or Iron Bull. He's an elf and he looks more typical of an LI, to me. Obviously I could be wrong, though.

Blackwall has potential. He can be like Dragon Age's form of the "Notebook". Except the female plays the Ryan Gosling part. While you watch him slowly wither into a mindless ghoul.

Maybe Avernus' mojo will be more widely available by then.

Hahaha I have similar feelings regarding Blackwall for Aimo's sake, although I'd personally prefer Solas for myself.

He just seems more like romance material to me over Solas. I dunno, from a creative standpoint if I were one of the writers and was looking over the companions to pick who should be a romance I would pick Blackwall over Solas, just me.

I confess, based on extremely little evidence, that I'm interested in Vivienne. I posted some thoughts about why I might be in her thread, but it's more my intuition somehow telling me that despite all the surface issues that bug the hell out of me, there's a chance that we could have some sort of personal compatibility that would fit my particular Inquisitor perfectly. If nothing else, both of us are ambitious mages who want to be more than what the world gave us.

I am hugely biased in my love for Solas, but I pray that he's another LI for straight female Inquisitors. I've said it before, but I would hate if ended up with a roster of warrior dudes. With Cullen in and IB rumored, I feel like Solas would round the group out while Blackwall would just tilt it fully towards brawny dudes and I, for one, would like at least one option that's more cerebral and not so swordy.

My big hope for Vivienne is , yes she's calculating , cold and ambitious.

But she has good arguments for wanting mages in circles , and she's aware it's not an easy life.

I would probably like her a lot if she was trying to make things better for everyone , and not everything was about her personal ambition.

Sort of a Wynne character , who's willing to compromise and do shady stuff if she gets what she wants in the end.
