Don't think Cassandra will approve of saving both even if successful. Expect to see her chiding on cost if he/she hadn't been so fortunate.

She's starting to sound like she might have a similar role to what Miranda was intended to have in ME2. You know, the bossy sort that tries to control your actions and keep you working efficiently.

Then again, I don't think I'd mind her telling me what to do...

I just de-lurked to give out a sad-face over that.

I don't care what the straight male options look like.

Or what their politics are.

I just want one that f*****g SMILES.  "Defrosting the Ice Queen" is not a universal straight guy fantasy.

Yeah I certainly think there are similarities in character and role.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the only Way for straight males to "complain" about the currently known Romance Options. No ranting, just Sad faces.

And I'm serious. Because I would kinda feel the same Way if Vivienne didn't look good enough for me not to care.

I wouldn't give up yet. After all, David said Cassandra has a surprising sense of humor. I don't see her as an Ice Queen, just someone who takes serious situations seriously. Given the stakes, I think the Inquisition desperately needs someone like that.

Viviene's gorgeous. But I thought Morrigan was too and I just.... couldn't. She just had the most unloveable personality. I'm afraid Vivienne is going to end up the Mean Girl you have to Hatemance (if she's actually a LI, which I'm not actually willing to bet on). Hatemances are... just no.

Well, I don't have much issue with hatemances personally. I'd dare say that conflicted emotions like that make it even more enjoyable. But it's all a matter of taste.

If this is the first game Bioware has made where there are no characters you want to romance, I'd say that they've done a good job of catering to you so far!

I felt the same Way about Morrigan, trust me. But Vivienne is black. That gains her my Sympathy and Attraction. I am willing to put up with, especially, because I was told, that Morrigan was quite acceptable if you actually romanced her. I've got to try that out, when I come around replaying DA:O next Time.

Vivienne is interesting.  I don't find her attractive the same way I find Cassandra or Lelianna, but I think she's beautiful.  Basically, she's a work of art.

I doubt that all of the romance options for men will be ice queens they haven't in past DA games so I think you're good since I highly doubt they'll write the romances to be very similar again. Who knows Cassandra might just be tough and not an ice queen, taking you're work seriously doesn't always equal ice queen or heartless after all. Maybe she'll surprise you?

She stops sleeping with you when her approval with you gets too high. As in, when she loves you too much, she can't maintain the relationship.

Ew.

And I think that's exactly the way she wants to come across. Something to be admired and looked upon with respect, rather than the object of lust.

That's Zevran I think you're thinking of I've never had her refuse my male warden with that regardless of her approval, though she dose refuse to teach you the shapeshifting ability once her approval gets to high. Maybe you're confusing the two? Or maybe I had a bugged? Could be either I suppose.

I really don't see Cassandra as hatemance material (sadly :() and I think Vivienne is more likely to be the Ice Queen...

Maybe Scribbles is going to be a LI?

We don't know anything about her.

She deals with politics and trade , she's at the very least intelligent and skilled in communication.

Morrigan wants to break up with the Warden when she reached a high approval and you completed her personal quest, because she doesn't want the Warden to love and care for her (the reason is the DR and the fact that she'd leave him regardless). Don't know if she stops having sex too.

I see Cassandra as someone who might boss me around.

Which isn't a bad thing. She already reminds me of my mother anyways.

Seriously though. If they actually play that angle, it might be cool. I'm sick of being the de facto leader.

From the Wiki:

After acquiring Flemeth's Real Grimoire, a 'romantically advanced' Morrigan (Approval label "Love") will come to fear the intensity of her affection towards the Warden, prompting a conversation about these feelings. Most of the choices in this dialogue will result in the end of the romance and a significant loss of Approval, but these can both be avoided (or she can be sent away entirely); however, even if she stays in the party and in love, she will no longer accept 'tent invitations'.

I personally think that some people shouldn't have known what were the Lis before discovering them in the game. They are too quick to judge. "  I'm going to be alone " months before the release is just a bit too much for me.  :P

There are many things that could play a role. The personality, the evolution of  a character, his / her background, the voice, some cute moments, the friendship relationship that could make you change your mind, etc etc.

That I can agree with. Bossy, but not cold or full of anger. And, yes, I also find bossy cool from time to time

Speculating is fun though.  :P

edit: ok, maybe, not everybody is having fun with the speculation

Like I said she never turned my Warden down though again it is possible that my copy is bugged since I'm apparently the only person here that has not been ninjamanced by Leliana either so like I said my game could be buggy I've just never had her turn down my Warden before even after that conversation with her. I know Zevran refuses to sleep with you after a certain amount of approval so that's why I though you may have confused the two.

I try not to speculate too much.  I like to stick to what's known.  For Cassandra:

1. She's a love interest.

2. She's written by David Gaider.   (Prepare to shed tears)

3. She's likely to threaten you with something sharp because that's her idea of saying "Hello".
