I tend to agree with you. For all we know, Cass and Viv could be straight options and Scribe Girl a bisexual option giving straight guys 3 options and everyone else only 2. This is why I think the "we are suffering" posts are a bit premature.
I think (almost) everyone is in agreement on this.
Why is this just about straight men? Who cares about them?
I only think it's fishy if people arbritrarily want advisor romances to be for both male and female straights. Both. Not one or the other. It's the idea of relegating all straights into one type of game content that's lame.

You haven't started with the "BW took away Sera from guys" nonsense, and while you've expressed disappointment, I watched you come into the Sera thread and say congratulations. I think more straight men that are disappointed should take notes from you.

That said, I don't want Scribbles to be straight, I want Cassandra to be available to women because I'm interested in romancing her. I started her fan thread in the new forums and even had for her in DA II.
For what it's worth, I hope you get the same thing. You're probably a bigger fan of her than I am. It'd be lame if you're barred from it.

I don't think for a minute both Cass and Viv will both be straight. If both are LI which i doubt, one will be bi.
As to the suffering bit. This thread is all about speculating based on limited info. If someone speculates on possibility that NPC's should all be straight and companions BI then its perfectly natural for others to voice their opinion negative or otherwise on this.

And Vivienne is the only gal that I'm interested in. I'm really hoping that she's available for f/f romance so that my one female playthrough (probably a lady dwarf) has a romance option that I'm interested in. But it's looking unlikely, I admit.
I wouldn't mind if Vivienne was an LI. I'd never romance her(still on the fence about even recruiting her), but I know she has her share of fans.
I actually think Viv would be an awesome romance. I'd prefer her over scribe girl tbh.

I feel the opposite. I love her personality from what we know about it thus far, and it is those information bits that make me think a romance with her could be very interesting. The dynamic.
I tend to think that the advisors in this game would not be comparable with the non-companion LIs in ME3.
We have some evidence of that the advisors would not be "confined to base":
1. There was a tweet by Mr. Laidlaw, where he stated he was playtesting a long quest all over the map with Cullen.
2. The E3 demo showed that Leliana could be taken on quests as well.
From these I deduce that at least for some quests you would be able to have an "outing" with the LI advisors.
3. There was a tweet by Mr. Gaider that stated that the word budget for the advisors was the same as the one for companions, this was not really true in regard to the ME3 non-companion LIs.
So it is quite possible that the advisor romance would be as valuable and meaningful as the companion romance in DAI.

My first impressions of her aren't great. However first impressions aren't always accurate. I wasn't a fan of Jack at first. She's not my favourite LI but i like her a lot as a character vs those first impressions. If she's a LI i'll be open to idea of creating an inquisitor to match her.

Umm, sorry, am I missing something? Solas has been revealed, why is he a bigger mystery than Dorian or Varric at this point?
That being said, I've also pointed out several times that there's no guarantee or real reason to believe that Cullen and Scribbles will have the same sexual orientation.
This, in fact considering that there is racial restrictions, I consider that symmetry doesn't apply anymore (or that can be me wanting Cass to be bi so much 
) the only things we can take for granted are:
- Cass and Cullen are available...on some capacity
- Sera and Dorian are available for s/s Inquisitors
- Each gender/race combo will have two options
And that's it, really

I'd definitely encourage you giving it a shot on a subsequent playthrough, if she is a romance. Goodness knows I have had my views on LIs change drastically between prior to a game release and post-release. Some LIs I've thought would be great prior to a game's release (like Jack) just turn out to be really off-putting and terrible romance arcs when I finally have the game and play them out. And vice versa. I didn't think I'd enjoy Anders, but I ended up loving it his romance and the story it generated with the endgame content drama.

Im not gonna lie what i really want is an unrequited love for Sera romance arc if your a male. Like id love it for soooo many reasons itd be a fun story.
