Now I can understand people not liking how she looks cause opinions...but KROGAN?
Seriously?
Well hold on now people, lets not jump to conclusions.
Maybe it was a compliment? Maybe those people are into krogan?
Yep.
I am envious of Vivi's cheekbones (very cat like imho) and of Cassandra's hair color. I would have loved black hair as a little girl.
O_o people are blind. Or don't know what Krogan look like.
Yeah my hair's black...and horrible to deal with XD

Not sure if want...

I read that thread. No, I'm not linking to it, but I assure you it wasn't a compliment by any stretch, sadly. ![]()
Usually the words, "she looks like a man" was in the same paragraph. I can understand a female character not being to someone's taste, but "ugly" or...a krogan?
Point of reference for those that didn't play the ME games. This is a krogan:

Im only kidding of course.
Thats a pretty ridiculous comparison. Her personality isnt really that pleasing to me, but shes an attractive lady, for sure.

To be fair, Grunt is a particularly cute krogan.

That type of thing is never sure. Different people, different strokes. She looks all right to me, but regardless of that, "manly" wouldn't be a word a would use to describe her.
Yeah, some people said Sera should be straight or bi cos Cassandra looked too much like a krogan to romance
I would romance Grunt, he looks adorable.
I think people somehow forget that BioWare wants to give "romance choices", not "romance choices that cater to a specific person idea of attractiveness". You can't please everyone.

You're being reasonable! Blasphemer!
To be fair, Grunt is a particularly cute krogan.
This was exactly my first thought too. Oh, Nata picked Grunt? He's like the David Beckham of Krogan!
Cassandra is a beautiful lady. She's my bb. As I've said in threads past, Cass has bonestructure similar to many mainstream (super)models and movie stars -- the wide jaw, plump lips, high cheekbones, slender nosebridge, curvature of the wideset eyes. Kate Moss and Jennifer Garner have very similar stylings to Cassandra in their facial structure, for example. But eh, whatever, haters gonna hate regardless.

Ew. David, I thought you had better standards.

He was genetically engineered, so it stand to reason he was made to look perfect even per krogan standards!
Ew. David, I thought you had better standards.
I'm guessing this was sparked by the David Beckham comment? ![]()

I'm scared...someone hold me D:

Still Krogan tho.
Agreed.

The only other decent pic I could find of Wrex took up my whole page! Still, while Grunt is the perfect Krogan, and is cute as far as his race goes, calling Cassandra a krogan was rather unfair to her. Now, if they had said a turian... ![]()
Just proves different strokes for different folks will always be there. ![]()

Funny, I just posted DG's response to the Straight Male Gamer in another thread a bit ago. ![]()
One thing I fail to understand... why are so many people convinced that Dorian is going to end up the homosexual exclusive for men? It seems most people have either pinpointed him or Solas. Honestly, I'm making no assumptions on the matter myself, but what about Blackwall? I recall seeing a dev or staff member (Gaider?) saying that the nickname "Ser Bara" is warming up to him... now, while I have no idea if the comment was made with this knowledge, but "bara" is a Japanese term that, from my recollection, amounts to "manly gay." By no means a confirmation of Blackwall's sexuality, but I think that's a much stronger hint than there's been for the other men of the Inquisition.

When?! Where?! How did I miss that letter?!

She isnt manly at all, no. But she does have very striking features. Im not sure feminine is the correct term either.
She looks, well, striking. Attractive, definitely, but in a very unconventional way.

I just realized I don't ever use the words "manly" or "feminine" to describe anyone. They seem to vague and potentially offensive. The most I recall using is "androgynous", usually referring to men.

No freakin' clue. He's hot and drop dead gorgeous, I'll grant, but I have no idea how he became the fandom favorite for m/m only.

While I'd love Blackwall to be a love interest, I don't think he will be. I think he's going to be the Wynne of Inquisition, the older character who doesn't get involved in our sex lives beyond maybe offering some advice. (I would love to be wrong, though!)
And if he is, then I kind of hope he's not the gay option, because any romance with an aging Grey Warden is going to be tinged with tragedy. Blackwall has held a fairly senior position in the organisation since around 9:30 Dragon, and I imagine he was a Warden for years before that. If he is a romance, it's likely to be Thane all over again.
I think the first gay male companion in any BioWare game should be someone who at least has the chance of a happy ending. Which doesn't mean BioWare feel the same way, but the thought must surely have crossed their collective minds.

Are you kidding me? He's faaaabulous!!! ![]()

It's process of elimination really:
Cullen - probably straight or bi (based on DA: O)
Varric - probably straight or bi (based on DA 2)
Iron Bull - most likely bi (based on bio)
Cole - out of the running (confirmed)
So that only leaves:
Dorian, Solas, and Blackwall
I think it depends on if you think they'll make both elves gay. I tend to think not (especially after 3 bisexual elves in a row). I am also not convinced that Blackwall will be an LI. So I tend to think that Dorian is the most likely.
Ew. David, I thought you had better standards.
Which one? Grunt or David Beckham?

Both....
