If its Iron Bull then I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm really starting to think with the race gates they'll go the DAO approach and just not let you have the option of trying to flirt with LIs that are not into your race or gender. You can talk to them and befriend them still but any flirty dialog will just never show up. That's the only way I can right now see them going about it without having to dance around the whole 'you're wonderful and all but I'm not into your kind sorry, but if you were a different race then yeah there could have been something'

Or you could with someone who is racegated and they would turn you down. Like in ME 3 when a Male Shepard can flirt with Traynor, but she shuts him down.

I think it'll come down to this, as well. Which is one of the reasons I'm aggravated by it; it's punishing qunari players for playing qunari.

 

 

On the flip side though, if things play out the same way for a Qunari character as for a human (or elf or dwarf), what's the point of evening having the option to be a horned giant?

There are plenty of ways of doing that without withholding romances.

 

The romances could still exist but deal with different issues. Not to mention the plethora of non-romance related ways you can establish a difference.

Well since the DA and ME teams were different I was going by past DA games, though I wasn't aware that it was a flirt since the paraphrasing made it sound like assault so never picked it. Going by DA games though that's never been an option to flirt with characters unavailable to you that were LIs which is why I think it will be the same in DAI.

I agree with that 100% I'm just doubtful it will be implemented that way.

I do hope there's gentle (and harsh) rejections for both the companions and the player. Maybe you get a harsh rejection if they disapprove of you (and you can give a harsh rejection if you disapprove of them?)

So much circumstantial evidence suggesting he's an LI, but still no confirmation. I hope they confirm him as a bisexual LI at GaymerX, just so that we can finally add one more to our list.

Should be careful though.  For example, freckles were said to be in (along with scars), for it to be quickly corrected afterward that scars were in, freckles were not. Mark might have just seen the "horny" and "iron bull" parts...

Cassandra is literally the only LI I'm interested in, but if she can't be romanced by qunari, then I'm no-mancing this game.

Since she's straight it's unlikely she'll be racegated so hoping for you and me they'll be open to Qunari loving D:

My condolences to those who were hoping for m/m Cullen and/or f/f Cassandra. At least we know one more piece of the puzzle.

Whelp so much about my theory of the NPC romances being Bisexual. Hope theres a nice guy in the party for my straight lady PCs since Cullen probably won't be until a much later playthrough unless I really dig his character in game. Sorry to all those polite people though that wanted them to be Bisexual though.

I would bet that Scribbles is *the* bisexual female love interest.

 

I feel sorry for the F/F Cassandra and M/M Cullen fans, at the moment I don't think having more than four love interests is worth the gender exclusivity.

Glad to see confirmed straight companion li.
Intrigued but not completely surprised by news of Cullen, that puts to bed bi npc's notion.
Condolences to those that this news disappoints obviously, as I remember my own disappointment over sera news.

Cass and Cullen's sexuality confirms what job they will be doing in my games! Whenever Cass isn't in the party and whenever Cullen isn't doing whatever it is he does, they will both just be standing there and looking pretty as I like them both, but not enough to play straight. However I quite like the idea of having the two of them just make the keep a little more attractive ;P

Yeah I usually would but I'm letting my little optimist out. Especially since the animation concerns are already really reduced with the straight/gay LIs.
