This was always my fear too though.. this frustration with limiting your character concepts.

 

The good thing is that at this stage my character concepts are still quite malleable, they are defined by a general mindset, if Vivienne turns out to be the second option, I think she'll finally go with my Andrastian (for there is only my Andrastian who would welcome her anyway )

 

The only one that was quite set in stone quite early is my fiorst one, the elf nationalist elf-bi-sexual;  for her it was either Sera or Forever alone.

That would be fair, I agree. But Gaider explicitly stated not to expect "fairness" in any romance distribution.

They can't be gated has is. I guess Vivienne could be in, but if that is the case, I really feels like writing a not so nice letter about BioWare loving to present women has object to be collected...

I doubt they'll do that again, though I don't doubt they'd take it to a bigger extreme like she won't be alone in a room with you if the door is closed cause people may talk and she is married to her work but hey you can be her assistant but you can no longer be friendly with any other females or it breaks the romance forever and she rebounds with Iron Bull which turns into a highly physical love affair.

Scribbles can be racegated.

I guess I'll be putting my love for Cassandra on a shelf next to Viconia, Bastila, Ashley, Miranda, and Morrigan (not to mention Olivia Benson, Erica Kane, and Brenda Walsh).

Wow! A lot of information. So now we know for sure that:

A few implications:
1). This means that females players get both NPCs and male players have one.
2). His wording for the Scribbles reveal was singular about bisexual female LIs, so I'm starting to suspect that Vivienne is not an option. Bummer.
3). More questionable IB comments that suggest that he might be an LI. I'm thinking that he might be an 'extra' race-gated bisexual option for straight gals and gay guys.
4). I'm still of the mind that there were originally 6 LIs (2/2/2) but with extended dev time, they added in an extra one or two (IB, Varric?). If so, then that would mean that either Solas or Blackwall is the last of the 'original 6' as the bisexual male. I wonder if that's the case?

Yes, both were confirmed as heterosexual LI's together. I hope Vivienne will be a bisexual option ~

Cullen has a problem with the qunari religion, not necessarily the qunari race.

To be fair the Qunari PC was never of the Qun. So that shouldn't affect it. Hopefully especially with the more mature outlook his interview shows it might be a hurdle but one that he gets over. It could make for a very touching romance.
