     Cassandra (for all males)

     Cullen (for all females)

Gay:

     Sera (for all females)

Bi:

     Vivienne (for Humans and Qunari - the Hat, guys, look at the Hat!)

     Iron Bull (for Humans and Qunari)

     Scribbles (for Elves and Dwarves for sure, maybe for Humans)

     Varric (for Elves and Dwarves)

I highly doubt it, but we'll see. Maybe his views on them have radically changed since DA2.

 

I don't think he has a problem with kossith per se - it's the Qun that's the major hang-up.

2). His wording for the Scribbles reveal was singular about bisexual female LIs, so I'm starting to suspect that Vivienne is not an option. Bummer.

 

I'm actually glad about that if that's true.  I echo the sentiment that having every female playable character as a LI is kinda creepy.  Star Wars TOR did it and got flak for it.

I have a feeling there will be one more bisexual LI, and that's it. I wouldn't count on more than 6.

I don't really think they'd make all the girls on the team romance-able, and unless there is an extra romance with a guy and it's not equal(which is a possibility) I suspect there is only one more reveal. I'm betting on Iron Bull personally.

Agreed, but bummer that Vivienne in particular (a stunningly beautiful, dynamic character) isn't. I was just hoping for her since I want to do a single female playthrough and was hoping for a Viv romance for my. Lady Cadash. Not a big deal if she's not available, imo, because I'm really much more heavily invested in the male LIs and already got one of picks (and didn't get another, but might get the third...).

It's an interesting way to phrase it. "A few" isn't a majority? "A few" of 6 is half, so I wonder if that could imply that there are more than 6.

Think there will be 7 li's now. 4 males and 3 females, with element of race gating amongst the females to account for the extra li.

A few could be as low as 2, which I hope is the case if we *have* to have race gating.

Yep, I'm sticking with my prediction of 8. Original 2/2/2 (no race gating). Iron Bull as a bisexual option for humans and qunari. And maybe Varric as a female dwarf only option?

So glad they answered my race-gating question!  I've thought for a long while now that the issue was being way overblown.  His answer is vague, but I'm thinking two, max, are race-gated.

My problem with everyone *probably* being right about Vivienne not being a potential love interest is that she's already being perceived as a Sapphire, and thus she's automatically saddled with the "Strong Black Woman Who Don't Need No Man" label, which is way more problematic to me.

 

I would have preferred to have more female companions, and yeah, I see what people are saying about being able to romance all the females who are close to the Inquisitor, while not all men will be available, but the way she's been dismissed by many from the beginning has been depressing.  Vivienne is beautiful and interesting, and I don't see why she has to be saddled with the "off limits" label just to make a point.
