I'd love Blackwall for the potential May-December romance potential (what can I say, the chance to address an age-difference in romance appeals to be as something new for a DA game)
Solas-- would be fun to convince this fade-loving hermit that he can enjoy human (or whatever) companionship too.
Whatever romance they choose to do as the race-gated ones, I just hope there is a non-dwarf race that's also allowed past the gate.
So not only was Josephine revealed and confirmed as a bi(and from the sounds of the interview not race-gated) LI, but my 2/4/2 prediction was accurate. HOORAY!

The Inquisitor can be in his/her 40s (Bio said the appropriate age range for the character is 20-40), and Cassandra is also in her late 30s/early 40s, so we might have a May/December one already. 
I think Cullen has a good chance to be against qunari romances... considering DA2 and the fact that he seems a bit less adventurous.
I have a hard time thinking that they will race-gate AND gender-gate any romances. Just seems to limit a romance too much, in my opinion. But I've been wrong before (and I'm sure I'll be wrong again......)

Still, I was the first(at least as far as I know) to suggest 8 LIs while everyone else was saying 4-6.

Based on the tweets/interviews, it sounds like there will only be 2 race-gated romances. We know Josephine isn't race or gender gated, and while Cullen is gender gated I very much doubt he is race gated.
I can easily imagine Solas being race-gated. Everything about Solas' character revolves around his connection to the fade...do you think he'd be able to fall in love with someone who doesn't dream?

That's a good point I hadn't considered. Although 3/4 wouldn't be the worst thing if their race gating.

Solas kind of reminds me of... Dr. Manhattan or something. And not because of baldness. He just seems detached. And not in touch with tactile nature as he is the Fade. He might not be interested in romance.
I'm really hoping for Solas.

So, from the twitter thread, I'm getting that right now we're working with 8 LIs and one of them isn't a companion OR advisor? I don't know what to think. D:
I don't know if the non-companion/adviser really counts as one of the 8. Cos they said they knew of 1. Which could imply there are more than one. Which could mean they were thinking of just non-follower-people-you-could-sleep-with? Cos there were a few of those in DA:O.
Cos unless there's a non-follower with an equal amount of content as companions and followers (and if that person is associated with the inquisition at all, I think they would have been seen by now), it seems a bit unfair to call that person a real romance, comparatively.

I dunno, the various flings in DA:O were just "walk off screen, use your imagination," type things, I wouldn't expect anything more this time around. So pretty cheap, especially considering the amount of joy they bring
The way the said that about non-companion/advisor LIs is pretty confusing, so I think we will need more confirmation on this before it's really clear. I wonder if someone could ask them there (if it's still going) or on Twitter to see if they could clarify? They might say no, but they gave us this information, so it's possible they will be more specific about the count distribution and whether the non-companion/advisors are official romances.

Which is why I'm sticking to my "there were 6 original LI's (2/2/2) and then they added in two race-gated LI's because of extended dev time" theory. This way, everyone still gets two options from the core 12 Inquisition members.
