Varric is stroking Biancas cocking ring or trigger, he actually said that in DA2, and thus is spoken for ..

Leaves Vivienne, Solas, IB and Blackwall.

Also Blackwall for me is the character that is most likely not romance able since he would not want to hurt his lover by just leaving for the calling. He does not look like the unfinished business type, thus I think it would be IB and Solas should the outsider be a female.

Using a 2 / 4 / 2 ratio ...

If the the outside LI ( not a companion or advisor ) is a female then I think Bioware would add 2 more bi males which would even out the ratio: straight / bi / gay

Cullen, Cass / Josephine, <female outsider>, Solas, IB / Dorian, Sera.

If the the outsider is male then the ratio would look like this:

Cullen, Cass / Josephine, Vivienne, ?= Solas or IB, <male outsider> / Dorian, Sera

This is true, but the letters found at Ostagar seemed to me that she was interested. Although this can be a manipulation.

Likewise, I'm iffy on it. I'd like to think that even casual flings might be more detailed than the ones we got in DAO, but whether or not they'll qualify as full fledged romances, I'm not sure.

The way they said it just makes me think they weren't talking about "main" love interests. "There's at least one that I know of."? Like, they wouldn't know if their main LIs were companions or advisors? It sounds like they were talking about side characters.

There's a LI that's not an adviser/companion.

 

Edit: And Dorian should be up there too. We got 5 outta eight

 

We're missing 3 and at least one of them isn't in the main group.

Hopefully 2 people who are awesome and sane. A small part of me is worried that so many LIs will dilute the quality but the rest of me is just going ROMANCE ALL THE PEOPLE.

I believe Bioware said no repeat LIs.

For Blackwall he gives off more of a mentor figure vibe over a romance vibe, plus his whole idealism with the Grey Wardens and stuff

 

For Varric, mainly because the Bianca thing and I always didn't want him to be an LI. Though I am more ok with him being a female Dwarf only romance but meh

I'm also pretty sure the tweets relating to a character being like someone's dad or grandfather or taking inspiration from that is referring to Blackwall as well, so I really doubt he's an LI.

I'm not really looking for Blackwall or Varric to be LIs at this point. I think it'll either be Iron Bull and Solas, or one of the two and an unknown NPC male for the other males.

There's also the fact that if you want to play the archer with Varric, you can't choose his weapon, I mean something else than Bianca.   (  maybe he won't forget her that easily. )
