Iron Bull has been pretty much confirmed in multiple ways. I'll be shocked if he isn't a romance option of some kind.

I agree. I have a feeling that Varric and/or Solas might not be romancable... 

 

I'm hoping Varric is NOT romanceable because I find it very romantic how he has stayed committed to Bianca after all this time. I would just like him to find happiness and peace.

the non-party/adviser will probably be race gated...but it's hard to guess anything about the unknown! It could be that Vivienne is race gated because of her own preferences.

Hoping for a Solas romance he is the second best looking companion and I don't think they would limit female straight gameplayers to non companion romances. That said if Varric is romance able it will probably race gated, same with Iron Bull. I also don't like big beards so hoping for Solas as bi rather than Blackwall.

You find it romantic that he's personalized a crossbow in order to avoid intimacy while stuck on a woman that he hasn't seen outside of a dream in over 10 years?

Well, I remember a dev saying on twitter : YOU CAN TRY. Either, she needed to say that because she knew she went too far, or she didn't want to confirm something that wasn't totally and exactly what thought the fanbase ( Iron Bull being a bisexual love interest ) about what she said.

I can see Solas being a bi LI because he is presented as being so open minded.

Yeah, but after saying "he's worth at least one romance playthrough!" That reply makes it seems much more to me like she made an "oopsie" and went too far... either that or just being a huge tease. xD

To play a little bit of devil's advocate here, that doesn't preclude a fling with her.

I hope you read my follow up posts, where I mention that some folks do consider a fling a romance and I do not....

I'd hope that everyone gets two options at least, even with race restrictions. There is eight romances after all.

I think some believe it's more of a potential issue for the developers due to the height differences between qunari and dwarves.

That's not love, that's being a stalker.  It extraordinarily creepy.  I hate that series, mainly because it has the worst ideas about "romances" and for awhile there, teen girls (and lonely housewives) were gobbling that up.  I think of a 14 year old girl thinking that this is romantic and I shudder.

 

Varric still being attached to his crossbow and treating it like a person is creepy.  Edward Cullen is even creepier, but neither of those behaviors are good or healthy.

 

 

I wonder why they're announcing all the romance options piecemeal instead of just getting it out of the way all at once.

It's the BW marketing team's call.   That's all we know.
