2/2/2 likely so that's 6 romances that are npc/companion. That's leaves 2 romances that can be race gated and we know at least one of them is not npc adviser.

Dorian/Sera (gay); Cullen/Cass (straight); Solas/Jo (bi). Varric or Iron Bull or Viv (race gated). To be honest my money is on either Iron Bull or Viv as they have the higher chances of being bi. Varric seems straight and I wouldn't think they'd do that and race gate them, but possible. That leaves 1 spot for mystery romance. We already know that romance isn't a companion and isn't an NPC adviser. So we likely haven't been introduced to that character yet.

Yes, both Cullen and Cassandra have been confirmed straight. Josephine has also been confirmed Bi, and of course Dorian and Sera have been confirmed Gay.

We just need to fill in the blanks now and make it all equal. We know 5 of the 8, Cullen, Cassandra, Sera, Dorian, Josephine, only 2 are race-gated and 1 is not a companion or adviser. We know that Iron Bull is a possibility for races that aren't 'breakable' (which rules out elves but maybe humans too? and are dwarves sturdy enough but too short?). 

 

I personally think each race/gender will have 4 possibilities (two straight, two gay/bi), so using that thinking the bi male to match Josephine might be three different guys all gated to certain races - Iron Bull, Varric and a bisexual male character we havent seen yet (who is not a companion or advisor). Again this is only an idea if they want to be equal:

 

Female Humans: 4 - Cullen, Iron Bull?, (straight), Sera, Josephine (gay/bi)

We got a lot of confirmations today.  Here's the new update:

 

Cassandra - straight

Cullen - straight

Josephine - bisexual

Dorian - gay

Sera - lesbian

 

We also know that there are 8 total romances.  And we know that one of the romances is going to be a non-advisor, non-companion.  And we know that two of the romances will be race-gated.

So I found out about the news with the confirmed romances. 3 more to be announced. I'm curious which ones that are. It can be any companion at this point. Iron Bull and Vivienne are likely, but who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.

Some people think no; some people think yes.  The tweet said something like, "At least one that I know of", so that has led some to think that the dev was talking about flings and not romances.  I'm not so sure, though.  I tend to think that s/he's going to be one of the 8.  All of the talk today was about romances, not flings, so the context doesn't support it.  I see why other people think otherwise though.

You know the really funny part about that? She looks similar to Cassandra. Isn't it funny how the warrior lady with the somewhat curt attitude is considered manly, but the one who is possibly more "refined" of attitude is thought to be gorgeous?
