You know the really funny part about that? She looks similar to Cassandra. Isn't it funny how the warrior lady with the somewhat curt attitude is considered manly, but the one who is possibly more "refined" of attitude is thought to be gorgeous?
I like them both, either way.
Yea i like them both as well in most games i find 1 LI and i tend to almost always stick with them thats not gonna happen this time at all.

I can honestly and gladly say that these romances are 10x better than DA2's. I actually am torn who to romance the second and third time around unlike DA2 where I just romance Isabella all the time because I didn't really find Merril appealing. Good job Bioware and I love you guy

I was unhappy with DAII. the romance system was messed up, and Merril, geez Merril, the entire world knows what I think about her. I liked Isabela, but never felt in love, as It happened with Morrigan. In fact, in dragon age, I only ever was satisfied with the first episode in the romance area.

I think they look a tad similar, but I REALLY need to see some more screenshots of them both (mainly Cassandra) before judging.
Some people think no; some people think yes. The tweet said something like, "At least one that I know of", so that has led some to think that the dev was talking about flings and not romances. I'm not so sure, though. I tend to think that s/he's going to be one of the 8. All of the talk today was about romances, not flings, so the context doesn't support it. I see why other people think otherwise though.
I'm really torn about it. On one hand, I'd prefer than not all the lady companions are LI's. On the other hand, Vivienne. On the other hand, Dagna, or Celene. On the other hand, does the word budget support that? On the other hand, where am I getting all these hands?

I don't really think Dagna is any more likely than some random character we haven't learned about yet.

Yeah and better visuals. It's kind of unfair since the Eclipse engine is way inferior to the Frostbite 3 engine but still, Josephine says it all.
2/2/2 likely so that's 6 romances that are npc/companion. That's leaves 2 romances that can be race gated and we know at least one of them is not npc adviser.
Dorian/Sera (gay); Cullen/Cass (straight); Solas/Jo (bi). Varric or Iron Bull or Viv (race gated). To be honest my money is on either Iron Bull or Viv as they have the higher chances of being bi. Varric seems straight and I wouldn't think they'd do that and race gate them, but possible. That leaves 1 spot for mystery romance. We already know that romance isn't a companion and isn't an NPC adviser. So we likely haven't been introduced to that character yet.
The three non-released romances cannot be advisers. It was confirmed that Lelliana cannot be romanced, and the other two adviser romances have been confirmed.
Maybe someone with Twitter could ask if the non-companion/advisor is part of the 8 confirmed? I mean, they confirmed both things willingly, so they might not mind clarifying this.

I'm gonna romance Cassandra but have flings with Josephine and Vivienne. I know I'm asking for death but I love seeing the women fight over my characters

Yeah, me too. I've been a Josie fan for awhile, and I do like Tali, but I've never been a huge Merrill fan (or hater) and while I like Leliana enough, she's not my favorite lady in Origins.

You could have the same archetype of the ice queen, but one character entirely different from another.
I think it's less that they are girly and feminine and more that that they are less threatening/aggressive/cold than their counterparts. The girl next door instead of Ice Queen.
