...And that doesn't mean everyone that's fans of the characters you mention will automatically flock to Josie.  Plus, a few surface similarities does not make an archetype, it just means they have a few personality traits in common.

 

Nothing in the description of the character screams "Betty" Archtype.

 

Granted that's because it says very little about her as a Romantic creature at all, but...

I personally don't want Celene for an LI, too many Noble Human Ladies as LI's/Companions already. Needs more variety

I'm also totally not an uber Dagna fan and therefore super biased, not at all.

So I caught up on reading and saw there will be 8 romances and only 2 racegates. Also dang, Cass and Cullen are hetero, sorry for the gals and guys out there who wanted to get on with them.

 

I'm guessing the racegates could be Varric or Solas? Cullen or Sera?

I hope this is empress Celene, even though I think it's what most people don't want.

Then again Vivienne may be a romance but she seems like she may be too busy for that. Plus it would be strange if every female in the party was a romance option.

You forgot to add a character that wasn't a companion nor one of the advisers, which means one of those are off the list.

My guess as well.  I don't think Blackwall is going to be a LI at all, and I'm pretty sure Vivienne won't either.

Oh god, methinks Iron Bull (if a romance) would be like an Isabela romance where you guys have sexy times first and then actually get to the romancing and emotional bonding stuff. I'd be down for something like that *_* 

 

Anyway more on topic here are my two cents on who'll be the revealed romances. Since there's 8

Confirmed:

Cass - Straight

Cullen - Straight

Dori - Gay

Sera- Gay

Josie - Bi

 

That leaves 3 more to go. Now, one of the three is not an advisor or a companion. I'm starting to feel like Bioware is gonna try to make as many choices as possible for everybody so my assumption is that the remaining LI's are all Bi. Just for that reason. Two will be racegated for story reasons. STORY reasons, so that could mean anything. I'm trying to hold onto the hope that there won't be an uneven split in the 8 (as in more girls than guy options or vice versa) meaning there will be one more revealed female and two more revealed male. 

 

Iron Bull - I believe so because of all of the hints that he's romancable from the devs and the tweets that troll us so. 

Solas/Blackwall - I honestly don't know which out of them could be romancable. I feel like they're both unromancable *as much as I would like to have them* Since Solas is very reclusive and more into the Fade and ancient stuff while Blackwall is old and probably close to his Calling. I will say however that if Blackwall is a romance option I have a feeling that he'll be very tragic due to his calling and what not. I can already sense the possible feels. 

 

And then our unknown hypothetical female love interest. I don't know who it'd be personally. Celene's out of the question becuase Bioware already said that Royal Wedding plot wasn't gonna happen again so I'm gonna agree with current speculators that it's Dagna since she's the only named NPC and she's a dwarf which means she's probably one of the race gated options. That is unless of course Bioware throws a curveball and allows someone we haven't even met yet as the hypothetical female love interest.

So going with the theory that says there was originally 6 LIs and 2 were added because of the delay, I'll go with:

 

Sera/Dorian: gay

Cass/Cullen: straight

Josie/IB: bi

 

now there's two missing, I think there will be a male one and a female one, the female one being the NPC to avoid making the whole cast romanceable, and Vivienne being the new Aveline.

 

If the male one is Varric then I don't think it will be Dagna as the female one as it would be a bit redundant. No clue, but hopeless wish is Celene.

 

If not, then it's between Solas and Blackwall, in that case, I would say Solas, for a brainy romance, since Blackwall has to much potential drama. As for the gating, not a damn clue. In that case, Dagna might be the most likely; she's a great positive character, loved by the fans, and dwarf romance aspect is quite unique.

 

OR they can throw a curveball and introduce a totally new character, but I kind of doubt it, the big players are already in place: Alistair, Anora, Celene, Briala, Gaspard, Michel, Morrigan...there's not much room for a suddenly important NPC that will allow for numerous interactions, and the potential cameos from past games might be dead, if not totally irrelevant to the plot.

@Adorkable Do you think Varric isn't going to be a race-gated LI?  (love your name, by the way)

 

@Vapaa Er, how would having a dwarven female LI be redundant?  Guys might want a lady dwarf to romance too, and this would be a great way to have both the first male dwarf LI and the first female dwarven LI in BioWare's history at once.

I know it is a futile hope, but I want Fiona as the non-companion and non-adviser LI option.

I'm going to guess for now that the remaining LIs are Iron Bull, Solas and Vivienne, all bi. I'm not going to assume the non-companion/advisor LI is part of the 8 until we get clearer confirmation.
