Apparently Jess Hara Campbell(one of bioware's level designers who worked on scripting Iron Bull) made some tweets pointing towards the Bull being romanceable.

As much as I'd love to say this is confirmation, it isn't. Just more sly implications. The fact that they got deleted is a little suspicious. I hope Jess isn't in trouble.

Yeah they were deleted, still recorded in the Twitter thread though.

If you go into the Dragon Age tag on tumblr, there are quite a few screenshots of the tweets also. It's already out there so there wasn't much a point to them deleting the tweets imo.

So from everything that we know so far We've got 8 romances, 5 have been revealed, we have 3 left, 2 are race-gated, 1 is not a companion or advisor. The companions we have left are Varric, Vivienne, Solas,Blackwall, and the IronBull. Now based on descriptions and character info, I'm gonna say IronBull is our male bi LI, because of what we've heard about him and a specific line of him saying "He'll sleep with anyone he doesn't break," So that's leaves 2 more slots, which will be our race-gated Li. I honestly can't see Solas as a Li at this point though I'm not writing him off. From what we've gathered on his character he seems to be a man of knowledge and spirit research and stuff. I'm thinking he's the type to be so enraptured in the on goings of whats happening in the spiritual realms of Thedas he won't be too concerned with finding a love interest. Blackwall, I don't know. I wanna say he'll have a tragic love story with the race-gate for humans, where you'll pursue a relationship with him and he ends up succumbing to the taint and have to end up going on his calling, resulting in you having to watch him possibly die, like with Anders romance in DA II. Now as hopeful as I am, I really don't think Varric will be a Li, but if he does, it'll probably be a Race-Gate for Dwarves obviously, but I'm not so sure. As for Vivienne I have this off feeling she won't be a romance. She seems the type to be so consumed with political progression and trying to obtain power she won't be able to be bothered by a Li, but who knows I could be wrong. As for the non-companion non-advisor race-gated Li, I'm just gonna throw a stone in the dark and say Dagna. We know of her involvement in Inquisition being the official articifer or however you say it, so I'm just gonna guess she'll be a Dwarves only romance. Those are just my opinions, can't wait to see how this all turns out.

 

As of now its looking like its going to be 3/2/3 for straight, bi, and gay romances. So there's still 1 lesbian, 1 gay, and 1 bisexual characters to still be announced.

I'd say IB is almost certain. So, place your bets on Solas, Varric, or Blackwall .I'm hoping Blackwall and thinking Solas.

Solas doesn't have to be race gated but they need to come up with a good reason why your Dalish would be willing to consider a non-elf partner if Solas is not a romance at all.   It was okay in DAO because you had already effectively been separated from your clan in becoming a Grey Warden.    However, in DA2 Feynriel's Mum was banished from her clan for getting pregnant by a human.   In DAO Zevran's mother seemed to lose contact with her clan (possibly banished) for having a relationship with a non Dalish elf.   I think it highly unlikely that it would be considered the actions of a true elf to have relations with anyone other than a Dalish elf - Solas would qualify having had contact with the Dalish and not been part of human culture but living out among the old ruins.     So if you role play the Dalish true to type, you will not consider a non elf romance.     We are being forced into being a Dalish so it would seem rather hard to deny us a romance if we role played them correctly.

 

Obviously if it turns out we come from a liberal minded Dalish clan or are already an outcast because of our non acceptable views regarding relations with other races, then the romance options will no longer be a problem and I would happily go with whoever is available.

We actually cleared up some confusion earlier -- the 8 romances are actually all in-party or advisors, when they said outside of it, they meant we can flirt with certain characters outside of them. It was quite misleading. xD

If it's Solas, IB and Viv then my original guesses were right, except I thought Cullen would be bi and Solas straight. lol
