err what?
Lesbian have classy-Josephine and yolo-Sera already for them. The only people currently getting the short end of the stick are straight female PCs.
They are currently stuck with Alistair/Carth/Anomen/Kaidan/Sky-wannabe Cullen has their sole straight romance and one bisexual dude (or more) among: grumpy-Varric, ptsd-yolo-casual-sex-IronBull, introvet-elf-Solas and terminally-ill-vulgar-old-man-Blackwall.
Gay male PCs aren't that much lucky: fashionista-Dorian or one of the above.
You've got to admit that's a pretty good range of characters though. (I do get where you're coming from though, as a gay man I don't want two mages and the "promiscuous bisexual (IB)" of the month. I'm hoping they're more than they've been made out to be. As for Varric, I doubt he's an LI. They wouldn't make two straight only males, the gays (me!) would rage.)

As a straight female, the only downside I see of Cullen is that I can't bring him everywhere with me.
Varric would be cool if he wasn't shorter than me (I'll probably never play as a female dwarf)
Iron Bull has potential to be awesome - but may be a bit too "yolo casual sex" for my first character - but who knows
I have no complaints with Solas
I didn't know Blackwall was a vulger old man? But otherwise, not interested in the beard or the grey warden-ness.

I don't know where people got the vulgar thing from either :L

Some people haven't been so sure lately, but I agree that I don't think they will make any more straight (or gay) LIs this time.

Well, I was talking numbers/quantity because numbers are facts. You're talking quality rather than quantity, and noone can really argue about quality because a) quality of LIs is TOTALLY subjective and
we don't even know these characters yet-- certainly not well enough to say which of them will or won't be quality.
I care about the number of options being equal with regard to gender/sexuality. We can't ask for more than that because, as an audience, we will never agree on which romances are 'better' quality.

Blackwall, Sera, and Bull were described as "Team Vulgar" by one of the devs on Twitter. Also that tavern fan art where Blackwall is laughing at what appears to be a dirty joke told by Sera.
@Kurin So, gay men might get three choices: Dorian, Iron Bull and Solas/Blackwall.
Straight women might get three choices: Cullen, Iron Bull and Solas/Blackwall. If Varric is a LI, that would make 4, which isn't a huge imbalance in my humble opinion.
Straight men might get three: Cass, Josie, and possibly Vivienne.
Lesbians so far look like they might be getting the least amount of options with only Sera and Josie to choose from. I hope this changes, I really do and I hope Vivienne is bi. ![]()
So that would that would mean straight women might get one more romance than the gay men. I'm not saying this to be rude: I'm sorry the choices offered so far aren't to your taste, but it looks very possible that you'll have more than one option to chose from.
Hey, I don't find any of them appealing (excluding Dorian, but I'm rolling up a guy just for him) except for Varric, so I do feel your pain there. <hugs>

Ah.
Well yea, I guess if Iron Bull and Blackwall are both "vulgar," I would prefer to only have one of them as a LI option, for the sake of diversity.

Sounds good to me. ![]()
I'm not really doubtful at this point that 2/4/2 is anywhere near off the table. I'll worry about it when it comes, but right now I think it could just as easily still be perfectly fair for everyone.

I think the last 4 will all be bi, with some race gating thrown in. I think it'll be 2 of the dudes that have race gating, as a way to even it out a little more.
I'm still predicting it'll be Vivienne, Iron Bull and either Solas or Blackwall, leaning towards Solas.
So, I'm pondering Vivienne and possible race-gating for her. In Orlais, is it only dating an elf that nets you negative points in the Game, or would dating a dwarf be a social faux pas as well? I'm tempted to say qunari are right out, too.
I can't understand the harsh character judgment that goes on before we even fully know these guys. I can understand "Eh, I have a feeling we might not get along because of *this*", but statements blasting several characters in one go with just guesses/assumptions on what they're going to be like baffles me.
Blackwall might laugh at dirty jokes, does that make him really vulgar? I think Varric might be a little less optimistic about stuff, but doubt he'll be a total grumpasaurus.

Skillfully, I think it can actually earn you points. "Look at me, I don't care about your stupid game, I do what I want! Ten points for me!"
My theory with Vivienne is that she'd be more likely to go for elves, dwarves, and qunari because she likes exotic imports.
Did you guys see this about Iron Bull?

Along with this:
Not sure what to think...

Hoping it means Iron Bull likes multiple events, like the dwarf, the elf, the human, the qunari....

Yep, already a joke in the IB thread. xD We've dissected it a bit, but aren't exactly sure, either. We've come up with: "He likes to sleep around"(our least favorite >.>), "He just really likes sex", and "he's adventurous in bed". xP
I feel like they were giving an obviously vague response about IB because they weren't answering any questions. lol
I doubt he wont be available to female Qunari, though, at this point.

User @KarinWeekes well now I'm going to have to romance him.@KarinWeekes @user I'd say it's worth at least one romance playthrough.

I could almost see Vivienne hooking up with someone controversial for the sake of shock value, or to show other Game playing folk that they can't predict her future actions. She seems very intelligent-- I can't imagine she couldn't find SOME way to get an advantage out of whoever she was romancing. Could be a good bit of drama too-- confronting her about her motives for being with you. A romance with the Inquisitor evolving from pure politically convenience to truly held feelings? Lots of romantic potential there, I think.
Well, there's also this:
Yep, that's my shining light of hope for his LI status thus far, haha.

Ah yes, the Iron Bull joke ;v
