I'd think Gamescon is more likely since the 2 gay companions have already been revealed there'd not be much point unless the remaining Li's are bi

Pick the "wrong" options in Awakening and he is just as angry and spiteful as he is in DA II. In Awakening he hides it, in DA II he shows it openly. Besides some of his banter still has much of the Anders humour. And as far as homeless goes- he was always homeless
And regardless of whether or not you pick the "wrong" options in DAII, he still shows his angry homeless persona the majority of the time and only some of his old humor in "some of his banter." Some of it.
I say again, the reason people fell for Anders was because he was fun, funny, cheerful, snarky, and enjoyable to be around. DAII Anders is not enjoyable to be around at all. And he's not who he was in DAA because he's possessed by a freaking demon. I know he wasn't 100% happy in DAA, but he also wasn't 100% ruled by his rage, injustice, bitterness, and angst all the time.
No, they didn't change his personality. He was angry, brooding and bitter in DAA as well, he just hid it beneath a shield of humor; talking to him for a bit and in the right paths can let his rage show. He was just, at the time, not brave enough to actually do anything about it and was only concerned with flight; Justice convinced him otherwise. Anders in DA2 is effectively his true self, shorn bare of all obfuscation.
Yes, they did. He was possessed by Justice and he reminds you every thirty seconds through the whole game. He reminds you how much he's changing because of Justice every few minutes by the second half of the game. I know he was angry and bitter (not brooding since that means walking around with a scowl, which DAA Anders doesn't do), but he dealt with it with humor. And to be honest, I prefer that. Regular, normal, emotionally healthy people deal with emotions by reigning in the strong ones and address the big ones in little increments.
Regular people have multiple layers and facets of themselves. They aren't just 99% one strong emotion (RAGE), with a tiny 1% layer (humor, personality, interests, quirks, hopes, dreams) thinly hiding it. I refuse to believe that DAA Anders was 99.9% DAII's Anders filled with nothing but RIGHTEOUS ANGER and OBSESSIVE DRIVE with his humorous personality thinly hiding it. That being possessed by Justice unleashed the "real him" while all those pesky little things like impulse control, perspective, sense of humor, love for other things in life like cats, pine trees, pies baked in windows, "a pretty girl and a decent meal" all being unnecessary surface distractions swept aside; rather than the obsessive "can only see in black and white and has no concept of time, patience, perspective, or seeing from other's point of view" demon pretty much taking over and fundamentally changing his personality.

True though the main announcement is more likely to come at a mainstream event rather then one that is geared to one sector of gamer's there may be an announcement though I doubt it would be the first place its announced.GaymerX just isn't as mainstream as Gamescon or E3 etc
I do think that a human/elf not wanting to date humans/elves can easily be ehhhh since elves are basically humans with pointy ears biologically, but there are significant body type differences between qunari and dwarves for example...
So not being into short/curvy women(dwarves) or tall, athletic women(qunari) is fine, but not being into lithe, petite women(elves) is "ehhh"?
There's still a "B" in LGBT.
When is that?
The meat of it is tomorrow, but it officially starts today.
Besides Bioware, Gearbox will also be at GaymerX, I'm genuinely curious about how they approach inclusivity, must be tricky given the games they make.

He still likes cats, fresh air, card games (even though he's bad at them), and presumably attractive individuals of either gender. I think something noteworthy is that Awakening's characters, comparatively, don't talk much, and don't really have major plot-based issues that drive them in the way that 2's do, or even Origins to the same extent. Anders is on the obsessive side, but his old personality wasn't destroyed.
Please ignore the T.
Maybe next game?
I think given DG's comments regarding Mae, that w could see a genderqueer character in DANext.
I just worry about the incredible explosion in trasphobia that we'll see if we have a genderqueer romance option, though obviously that's not a good reason to avoid doing it at all. Just a sad reality.
I'm convinced because Varric is telling the story that he simply lied about how Anders acted to make Cass think they killed him for good measure. The truth is probably that they accidentally wrecked the Chantry while drunk.

Just my two cents about Anders his character in DA2 did not do a lot for me and the changes felt like a massive hurt to his DAA character BUT I'm also extremely bias since I did not trust Justice in any way shape or form in DAA and kept excepting him to go full on corrupt somewhere in the expansion. Not to mention taking a spirit willing in your body can not be explained to me as being a smart move. Again I'm massively bias because of my opinion on Justice so yeah......*scuttles away*
Off topic someone let me know if we get Iron Bull confirmed or not I got gifs lined up if he is x3 *goes back to scuttling away*
Well news came out that Josephine can be romantically involved with any race and gender. In this forum post I would just like your opinions on characters and their romance options and how you would think it effects the game.

Gearbox has had important Gay Characters, or at least one important character that I know of being Hammerlock who is a confirmed homosexual.

I would, except I don't think large amounts of people calling to make DAA Anders romanceable prior to DA2 did it because they didn't like him as he was. I'm sure they called for him being a romance because they wanted him to become more angry, brooding, bitter, sniping, obsessive, dangerous, destructive, two-faced and with a literal split personality.

Not at the game's start. Over the course of the game it gets eroded away, which he constantly panics about.
But sure. That's his "real personality" coming through.

I like Gearbox, Bordelands it's always parodistic and tongue-in-cheek, but not a clichéd or predictable way.

DA's already opened the door on the trans issue, albeit not in the most tactful way, with the prostitutes at the Pearl and Rose.
I think if they were to take the (highly progressive) stance of including a trans companion or romance option, they should go ahead and take the much bigger step of allowing the option of a trans pc.
My thoughts on the matter.

That's why I liked the character creator in Dragon's Dogma altough the game itself wasn't that good.
I wouldn't have minded romancing Duncan, he was hawt!!! *sighs thinking of that voice*
Maevaris/Shale DLC. Fighting demons and curing golemism and being fabulous.
It takes these two women to set things right.
If that ain't a recipe for awesome...

I can't wait to romance both Vivienne and Dorian in one playhtough just because of the amazing banter that would follow
