I can see Varric being the star of a sicom honestly.
We'll call it: "All of My Chest Hairs".
I want to know how many more books he's written.

In all honesty? I wouldn't presume to do so. I think that gender is a very personal thing and I have no right to set a boundary on what makes someone male or femaleFair point. At the risk of sending this thread off on a tangent, I'd like to ask how would you define a male or a female person?
So, uh, what romances does everyone think will be revealed next and where do you think it will be revealed?
I'm thinking the bi male one at Gaymer X.
Isn't that how most people define their own sexuality, by what genitalia they like on their sexual partner?
I can't imagine the average lesbian having sex with a pre-op transwoman.
Some don't, some do.
Some people are repelled by particular genitalia, some people are more in love with the person than with their parts.

No, it should be a noir narrated by Bianca. Titled: "The Arms That Bear Me."
I will always love Varric. Always.
The real question is whether Varric is romancable.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I've waited so patiently... I've waited...

ALL OF THEM
no seriously, I think they'll reveal them all

Ok so back on the topic of romance. who do you guys think is going to have the most interesting romance arc? *is it even called a romance arc?*
Not a strike against that companion, no, just the fact that having every single woman who gets close to you open to a romantic/sexual relationship with you, the hero, feels kind of contrived to me. I would say the same thing if every single male were available. I don't know... like I said, it wouldn't bother me overly much, it would just be a bit weird to me. And I rather like the idea of, as Cameron put it, I believe, some of the character having 'no time for your business.' Not that i won't be disappointed if that character is someone I want as an LI, mind you, but when in DA2 Aveline completely ignored my attempts to flirt with her, and Varric told me he wasn't into humans, it made me feel more like I was dealing with real people inmy part, instead of characters pandering to whatever fantasy I might project onto them.
Just to be clear, I'm not trying to insult anyone here, I'm just trying to relay my personal feelings, which some other posters I've seen on here seem to share. There's a part of me that would be ecstatic of all the companions could be love interests to all genders, because everyone would get what they want, but it certainly wouldn't feel realistic.
Really if all the female companions are LIs I'm bummed. I mean Solas or Blackwall couldn't be female? (whichever is non romanceable). It kind of annoys the heck out of me and feels skeevy. It was lame in SWTOR (didn't help the males had so many mentor/student mances either) and I'm not going to like it more in DA.
They can. Most states have laws in place to allow those who are transgendered to have their IDs and names changed to reflect their gender. That's huge because they can then be identified as a woman even on things such as state ids, licenses, and passports. Most cases it requires you to be on hormone therapy for x amount of time while also accustoming yourself to your life as your gender.
But my argument is that, unless you're living in the 1950's the word "woman" is basically meaningless in every sense except biological.
I mean, by that logic, I could just decide that I feel like a woman, change absolutely nothing else about my life, and still qualify as a "transwomen"
Anyways, while I want Varric as an option because idk he has grown on me I don't think he is going to be one. I think it will be Vivi, Iron Bull, and Solas. They are the only ones that make sense.

The one with the catapult in it.

That's difficult since they can be interesting in different ways.

Are we going with confirmed romances? If not, Iron Bull, hands down. I don't subscribe to the theory of him being just a fling, and the whole "connected to the Qun, little bit of PTSD" will make for a nice drama stew. Let that **** simmer real good.

Is beautiful...

I think all of them will be and I think it will be 2 bi males and a bi female.
So Vivienne might be an LI right, me thinks Bi might be the route they'll go. I'd be surprised if she's not, being from Orlais and all!

i'm hoping the bull will with the whole Qun thing.

I hope so!
That would allow everyone to know who they can romance and maybe even change what they want to play as.
An example being if some wanted to romance any of the race gated ones, some might start with that race first or play a race that they weren't thinking about playing.

I think that will depend highly on your chosen class and race. Cullen with a mage will be interesting for sure. I'm very curious on the Iron Bull romance because we haven't seen much of the qunari. I'm still trying to decide if I should go qunari mage or elf mage.
The most interesting romance? I guess that depends on what you like the best.. I think Sera will be fun to get to know of the confirmed LI

I think Blackwall especially would have made a really interesting, unconventional female character. I wish they'd have gone that way, but I think Vivienne will be an LI, anyway. Honestly, I think they maybe didn't even realize it would bother people.
