I find Anders more attractive than Fenris, but I find Fenris slightly more tolerable than Anders. Help! (Me playing DA2)

 

Depends on how you feel about such lines as 'I'll drown us both in blood to keep you safe' and the classic 'I'd kill anyone in this city to bring the mages freedom even you'. (the last one might not be totally accurate going off of memory but that first one is 100% right)

Please Bioware. Hidden friendship ending. Everyone holds hands while Inquisitor makes a friendship speech, and their combined friendship seals the breach, obliterates the demon and darkspawn, and finds the Warden and Hawke. Make it happen.

I personally would prefer to do something like this:

That's pretty much it. But seeing as my Hawke's response would've been "I'd kill you to keep order in this city." he wasn't one to get upset about that. Him letting Anders go and Anders coming back and throwing himself on his sword was...fitting. "Protect this city from mages...from me." Yep that's exactly what he did. Thank you for rectifying his moment of weakness.

Fenris actually has a lot in common with Jack, but I never actually thought about it before. That's an interesting point. 

 

It just stood out to me from the start. I'm friends with someone who went through a very abuse relationship, so I can spot the signs right away. And I have a special loathing for any romance arc that gets within 100 feet of healing dick (or vagina, because you know, equal opportunity and all that, though the former is the trope name).

I actually liked Anders' super dramatic lines like this one and the "I laid in bed every night aching for you.." one that other people hate. I'm a big sap. XD

To be fair, getting Fenris off the haterade was a feature of the rivalry arc.  It didn't have to be romantic.

Having already dated someone who sounds disturbingly like Anders (i was sixteen! and foolish!), I now know I need never romance Anders. Dude tried to convince me he was a vampire, and this was before Twilight was published I think. Certainly before it became a Thing.

Hey I romance him quite a bit too but that blood line reminds me of a terrible horror/romance novel well both do but eh the guy is possessed by a spirit/demon I knew what I was getting into when I went with him xD

Yep where's til Me3 most of Jack's heavy content was featured only on the romance path. Otherwise you got the internal "i'll think about it" (or if you accidentally hit the wrong no when she admitted feelings for you the eternal "F*** OFF!" cause BW apparently thinks putting a fake no in romance dialogue is funny.)

TBH I think both are required if you're gonna go full-on Romantic Epic. Desperate confessions of love in the rain and stuff. Not healthy, but a good story.

It was! I tried to get him the benefit of the doubt and assume he bothered to get to know Hawke before said aching.

 

XD His rivalmance is one of my favorite romances cause it's such a trainwreck. But god some of his dialogue.
