Intersex conditions are actually perfect example to show that gender identity is yet another biological sex trait. Pople with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (meaning that they have XY chromosomes, like most men, but they are completely immune to "male" hormones, androgens, like testosterone, so their body develops as female) always identify as women. Meanwhile, with Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, it's much more diversified, and connected to the level of the insensitivity (so, newborn who's 5 on Quigley Scale which assesses feminization of genitals and level of androgen insensitivity generally has much bigger chance to develop female gender identity, but it's always very possible that they'll identify as a man, while sixes, meaning those with CAIS, identify as women).

So thier is no such thing as male or female or in terms of human physiology men dont poroduce sperm and females are not the ones that give birth? I think am more focused on the sex role bio then the side effects of hormones and brain fucntion

Bioware can be tricky. I would be careful of assuming that Solas will be a LI based off of an announcement they made at a convention, regardless of the topic for the convention.

If I had to choose between Cullen and Dorian, I'd take Dorian every single time.  Cullen is physically very attractive to me.  Tall, blonde, masculine.  However, he's got a pretty crappy personality in my opinion (sorry for those who like him).  He's aggressive, emotional, and has shown some pretty intolerant attitudes.

 

Dorian, on the other hand, sounds delightful.  Dashing is always an amazing trait in a companion.

 

 

Would your view change if Cullen was somehow a mage or had a deeper sympathy for the mages?

 

I ask because sometimes I do think people would tend to get involved romantically with characters who share their beliefs.

I'm also okay with a swapping of Solas for Varric as romance... I'm also still not convinced that Vivienne will be one. I know we like for there to be equal male and female romances, but something isn't lining up with her being a romance :/

Well, they make the Elves Welsh and Torchwood was meant to be in Cardiff, so I think it's just a bit of a coincidence. There aren't really a ton of actors with Welsh accents.
