Some people are throwing a fit over the fact Dorian is gay.
I didn't see much more of a fit over that than Cassandra.
Sera on the other hand...

I'm guessing it's split between people upset that he's not available to women and people who are going with the assumption "herp derp dem gays just want to rape my straight dude characters JUST LOOK AT ANDERS y u shoving all this gay down my throat biowear"

There was a article about it,here's the link:http://www.inquisitr...ter-to-respond/
It's deja vu all over again.

Yes, when Sera was announced, a HUGE stink was made.
...why?
The same reason most 21th adult humans throw tantrums, because they didn't get what they want, whining has become engraved in our social psyche.
The same thing happened when Cass was announced straight, to a lesser degree but it was still there.
Dorian's reaction was pacific here. Not so much in other forums.I didn't see much more of a fit over that than Cassandra.
Sera on the other hand...

That was more of a fit over the wording of "fully gay" than anything. Less to do with Dorian himself.
Yes, when Sera was announced, a HUGE stink was made.
Yeah that was facepalm worthy.

I admit the only forums I frequent are here and neogaf. Did the meltdown happen on IGN or something?

Yeah,it was pretty pathetic in my opinion.
IGN, plus others.I admit the only forums I frequent are here and neogaf. Did the meltdown happen on IGN or something?
IGN, plus others.
On non/english, The reaction was bad in an Italian site, though in another it was rather good.
Huh.
So they cancel each other out eh? XD

I stopped reading any gaming exclusive news sites after the ending of ME3. I get most of my gaming news from ArsTechnica now. Much better.
I don't understand what people would actually complain about though.
The fact that he exists? Other than existing his sexuality doesn't really impact impact anything, unless you want to romance him.

Yeah a lot of them are garbage. And the comments. Good lord. I stick to here and Neogaf.

Same.
I mean really you're not going to be forced to romance him.

Agreed,I only go to gaming sites for info about a game I'm interested in.Which is fine because most gaming forums tend to be filled with trolls and fanboys.

Bigots will complain about anyone getting representation that they don't like.
I sulked about Dorian because I had my heart set on him but also f!Inq, But now I'm planning on just bouncing between advisers.

*admittedly lost some faith in humanity after reading comments on some sites*

I just laugh and move on myself,I've learned to not give a crap about what bigots think or feel a long time ago.Let them whine while I romance Dorian and Sera.
Rule #1 of the internet: Never ever read the comments.
And if you do,only read them for some entertainment.lol
If anything on the internet has a comment section, it WILL prominently feature racism, homophobia, misogyny and just people being arseholes in general.
You could probably find some clips from a children's cartoon with hundreds of comments how it's "gay propaganda that's corrupting our youth" because one scene had a rainbow in the background.
It seems pretty clear why some people complained about Dorian. There are still a decent amount of people that flatly do not believe that homosexuality should be presented as acceptable in media because it goes against their beliefs. They think it's wrong, for religious reasons or otherwise, and shouldn't be brought up unless it's to emphasize that it is wrong. To them, having a homosexual characters as more main stream and positively represented is working in opposition to how they would like things to be. Of course I don't agree with it, but I know the reason and I'm not surprised when I see it.

Off topic but I have seen a video doing just that with the Spongebob cartoon with 'hidden messages' in clips and almost all of them having a 'gay agenda' the comments to the video is what kept this sticking out in my mind though since a lot of people were telling this person they were full of it and there was no secret gay agenda in a cartoon to 'brainwash' the youth. Wish thats how more people replied to things like that.
