like pallascedar said, don't get your hopes up too much. It could very easily be (or rather most likely is) that he just meant "You'll know if he is or not soon" rather than "he will be revealed as a LI soon".

Yeah, this is what I think. I really don't think they were dropping hints at all. "Soon" is just a stock answer, imo.
Here's a question, romancers;
What characters (confirmed or not, no judgment!) do you want to romance and with what sort of PC? What do you think your character likes about the LI, and what will they maybe not like as much, if anything?
I'm kind of keen on a blunt warrior female, either eleven/human, who likes Solas for his smarts. However, being largely a skeptic, she's not keen on some of his contrarian ideas and thinks he needs to spend less time with his head in the Fade.
I have a qunari female for all the LIs :3
I guess my second variation of my ice king mage will get with Cass.
If Solas turns out be our bi LI (IhopeIhopeIhope) I will romance him with a human rogue - probably an artificer/archer type. She'll be a bit of an ice queen - more interested in tinkering and learning than in romance. She'll find a kindred spirit in Solas. They won't clash much, since she'll be fascinated by all things magic and fade related, but she'll have a bit of violent streak that I could see him maybe disapproving of. Definitely a friendship-turns-romance situation.
My second playthrough will be with a free-spirited mage - most likely a necromancer. She'll end up with a crush-at-first-sight on Cullen, only to be dismayed by the fact that he's a Templar and pro-Chantry, etc. They'll definitely clash, and debate, but ultimately will come to respect each other, since their goals of helping people is the same.

I do love mage dude/warrior lady pairings. (Or in the case of Skyrim archer dude since I love Skyrim archery to pieces).

I hope so as well, I don't have a problem with tough characters (Heck I loved Aveline to pieces and not just cause she had red hair and freckles

Since I won't play as a guy for a while I hope I can see some of that softer side if I can befriend her, though I hope that I also don't ruin the romance for myself by enjoying her friendship so much I just can't bring myself to move past that x3

Nervous and excited! Honestly, at this point, I just want it done. I hate being in this weird flux where I'm trying to temper my expectations, but want to be excited at the same time.
I'm pulling for Solas, but I'll have no hard feelings towards the Varric or Blackwall fans if they get the slot (Good luck to you guys btw!) I just expect some hugs and sympathy pats
If we learn who they are I expect you people (like the wonderful lovely folks that you are) to post them on here with their sexuality and race gates if they have any cause I might be gone fore a while and not knowing this will drive me mad
