Well, anyway, I'm pretty happy with my options so far.  I've got Dorian, who was my first choice.  It's looking likely that I will get Iron Bull (my second choice), as well, although possibly as a race-gated option.

It has been, and continues to be, a pretty torturous journey for me  Cullen was my first option (all my tears...), then Blackwall, then Iron Bull.

I need something, anything!

I'm not trying to complain, but I do hear you there.  It would be nice to have a straight/bi man be revealed next.   My goal is to not stress and try to enjoy the summer.  Even if it is hotter than hell out.

AC: Black Flag was really good though... :(

Yeah, I heard about AC unity. It infuriated me. There were a lot of women that fighted during the french revolution, it's almost an insult to history. I don't know what happened with ubisoft, but it's very questionable.

That's a shame too.. since the French revolution is one of the periods that most interests me.

This is from the Twitter thread:

So my guess is that we won't be hearing about the last few LIs until after GaymerX.

I swear, if I knew that anyone was actually getting off on the frustration caused by these delays...

I feel like the next reveal will probably be IB, but it's not the one I'm interested in. I expect that one.

I'd expect one to get revealed, maybe official confirmation of Iron Bull (given that he's been heavily implied to this point), with the last two coming afterwards.

For the other two, my money's on Vivienne and Solas as bi (possibly race-gated).

I really despise their strategy around the romances. I'm not seeing how it could be good for them.

What is their strategy? I don't see one. Or do you mean their strategy in revealing them?

Maybe they just said there was no official release planned so we'd be surprised.  :(

yeah, me too...I was so happy to finally having an exiting historical period again, in a place full of palaces and art (sorry, I really loved AC2, and I felt the american history was quite boring in comparison -expecially as ambientations-)

how great would have been having a female assassin in france during the revolution...sigh...maybe is because I grow up with Versailles no Bara, and Lady Oscar was one of my most loved heroines... :(

The latter, Their strategy in revealing them, some characters one day and without their orientation, after a few months, two other Lis with their orientations, yadda yadda.

Why they couldn't announce everything at once ?

It's a relatively low effort way for them to keep people on the hook until they push into overdrive with the more nitty gritty details of the game mechanics (gear, crafting, combat, specs, etc.).

What do they lose, really? How many of us are actually gonna bail because of this?

Plus it staves off the inevitable fallout when people realize that the list is finalized and they didn't get exactly who they wanted, and probably a hundred more pages about Cassandra's jaw and Iron Bull's ****.

Yeah, I love that period in Europe. Not just the Revolution, but the music, the birth of modern science, and the crazy lives of libertines. But yeah, a female assassin in France specifically would have been cool.

I wish they would at least release them in pairs with orientation. It kind of sucks that the count is always unbalanced. I wouldn't mind so much if they were just putting them out in pairs. They started out releasing Cullen and Casandra together, why couldn't they stick with that format and just add the orientations?

Delays? They never promised to reveal romances at Gaymer.

Some people find it "too manly". Because as we all know, there can only be one standard of beauty...

Yeah, I agree with this one for sure.  I've wondering exactly what the BW marketing team's strategy is here and I think it's much like SurelyForth said.  I think this is their way of trying to keep the bigger fans (the ones that eat up all the information as it comes out, so basically us,) to keep them talking and getting interested in the companions.

This helps encourage us to try to get the know the companions more.  I think sometimes the devs and writers do truly enjoy our ideas and discussion, when we're being polite and having fun.

With that being said, the lack of consistency is getting pretty frustrating.  It's not on the DA team at this point, it's whatever weird logic that's happening in the BW marketing department.

Oh, there's been a bevy of complaints from straight guys about how her jaw is "too large" and she looks "too manly" and therefore "ugly."  We've had many threads and far too many posts over it.

This is been happening since her first big trailer appearance.  It's very tiresome at this point for certain.

She's look great to me. I'm straight.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and just paint all the guys saying that as kids, who've been indoctrinated by pop culture on what a "woman" is. Maybe they're bigger victims than anyone. :P It's a sad thing to be brainwashed, after all.

Oh, I know.

Others find it unacceptably outside the bounds of their preferred aesthetic and have asked BW numerous times to "fix" her.
