I'll give an example from RL. When me and my gf thought the whole "race" thing was something we thought we couldn't work around (Her parents didn't want her dating a "white boy") I said something along the lines of "I still want to be your friend, whatever happens." to which she replied "No, I f that's the case I don't want to be around you, having these feelings and not being able to do anything about it, or seeing you with someone else it would hurt too much."

 

I have no idea what any of that had to do with sex or feeling entitled to sex.

At the risk of being dreadfully off-topic, the rate of assault by transgendered or genderfluid people is a pittance compared to the rate of assault against people who are transgendered or genderfluid. I don't see how it implies that frienship isn't worthwile. For people who want something more, of course it isn't going to be as worthwile, for them.

For one, you both mutually wanted to be in a relationship with each other. That's not the same as one of you seekritly biding your time until you think you've earned yourself a joyride. Both of you being emotionally invested at the same time negates the entire premise of "friendzone". So, no, I don't think she was feeling entitled to sex. I think she was saying that she was too emotionally invested in you to be able to not feel jealousy if and when you moved on. And, if you'll be honest with yourself, I'd bet you'd feel the same way if the circumstance would have presented itself.

Eh, still don't like the term but you make some valid points.

 

Well, (I'm assuming here) that he entered the relationship knowing she is a-sexual, and if  sex is that important to him he should go find someone who isn't a-sexual. Sometimes when guys/girls enter a relationship with an a-sexual they assume that 'they are just saying that' or 'they'll change there minds after a while' and my favourite 'its only because they had a bad relationship before'.It's very difficult for a sexual person to get there heads around the concept of an a-sexual. Which is why many a-sexuals prefer to be alone.

I'm assuming he did too, I say assuming because I didn't even know my friend was asexual until last year, and i've known her for over ten years, since secondary school! It's a tricky situation all around imo.
