So now that Iron Bull has been announced when does everyone think the other two romance options will be revealed?
Soon.

Soon.
But its a valid reason, whether we personally dislike it is irreverent if it fits the setting/lore.
If for instance Sera dislike humans for what they did (not thinking that but it's an exemple), how does that concerns a Humanquisitor who's respectful with the elves ?
I want them to just be like "not into you" and not try to justify things, because 1) attraction doesn't needs justification and 2) I can't see any justification that's not contrived.

Vivienne and some male. I have no idea which. None of them really make sense to me anymore.
Iron-Bull being a romance does not surprise me, however the fact he isn't race gated concerns me. I can't think of who else will be, surely the must be referring to Vivienne and perhaps Solas who are likely the final two romances.
Ah. True I forgot with the gender gating there's problems too. I much prefer playing my own gender but I can do an opposite sex run for the romance at least once. I hope everyone gets at least one they like (Or when they play the game they find they like the options that are there a lot more than they thought they would)
I do admit one less chance for someone they wanted does make sense for why people wouldn't be happy about Iron Bull, but with 4 romances of each gender I can't see anyone not getting at least one or two they like (Seriously, double what we've gotten in previous games if you don't count dlc chars)
While I could play a character of a different sexual orientation and/or gender, I tend to play straight females. Thus far, the only possible LI I would want to pursue is Solas. It doesn't look likely that he will be available. Iron Bull is too promiscuous and Alpha Male. Dorian is arrogant, and I greatly dislike that trait. Sera looks like my sister. Vivienne is self-centered. Cassandra is too tempestuous. Cullen is too anti-mage (which is an issue since I mostly play mage, with the occasional rogue and rarely warriors). Blackwall has a huge beard--which I don't like. Varric is going to forever love Bianca-the-woman better than anyone else, even should he move on.
So there, you've now encountered someone who doesn't like at least one or two LIs.
Well thats gr- Blackwall and Solas confirmed as joint unit romance- NO!At the panel they specifically addressed polyamory and said it's really reeeeeally hard to script/code. The only way they think they could manage it would be if there were 2 characters who were already a couple and you were to romance them as a unit. Otherwise the number of dialogue permutations to let you romance any 2 characters at once would be insanely huge.
I still think that "story reasons" could be blood relations rather than racial preferences. Like Cullen might be related to human Inquisitor and thus not romanceable by them. Or Sera/Solas could be related to elf Inquisitor in some way. Blackwall and human Inquisitor maybe as well since we know nothing of their family histories. Cassandra not likely since her family history and relations are pretty well known, but it isn't impossible either.
The theory is highly, highly unlikely but yeah... Could be. Who knows.
I, for one, am happy about Iron Bull though~~ Can't wait for my elf Inquisitor to romance him at some point. Might have to do multiple elves for different romances thought... ...
Sandal, use your words wisely next time!

Such a beautiful metaphor.

You have my sincere condolences ![]()

Well, I think I'll probably find some romance that I can enjoy in the end. But for what I now so far, I can't be very excited... It'd radically change though if Solas was announced as bi LI

How dare she be reasonable?! I'm the main character not her! we do what i say!
Next week cliff jumping...minions first.
I'm honestly curious how some players will react to the advisors doing anything beyond advising the PC on how to get what they want.
People called Wynne an "annoying preacher". Now imagine them actually trying to prevent changes the player has yearned for since the first game because they're, quite frankly, completely detached from reality.

Plus, you know, she might stop the Inquisitor if s/he's about to do something stupid bound to turn half of the nobles in Orlais (read: those who have power) against the Inquisition.
If we're intervening in the Civil War, that seems literally inevitable.

Noteworthy, certainly; I'd be quite interested in seeing them try it, though.

The race gating would most likely be more complicated then just plain "I'm not attracted to x/y/z race", but i wont be surprised if its factored in to the gating reason, nor would it bother me unless i play as said race, then my character would most likely be offended to some degree, but that's that character's problem
.
So is Alistair racist for not waiting to be with an elf or dwarf in the end?
Alistair is a tool, he shouldn't matter.
I'd honestly rather they did class restrictions than race restrictions, but they don't help with cinematic budgets, so I doubt they will.
I am filled with the sudden inexplicable urge to smash Bianca in front of Varric

But-but-but-but...They have to listen to me Bioware said so!
In all seriousness though, i would think less of them if they didn't advise against making a huge blunder....i wonder if Theadas has a "help wanted" section, just in case they end up being incompetent..

But what about the cheese!!?

Waste of a damn fine weapon, if you ask me.
That sounds like a very good way to prevent Varric from romancing you.
Yeeeah...I don't think he'd handle that very well. ![]()

That sounds like a very weak excuse. They could easily limit such a relationship to a few conversations. It worked with just one conversation in Jade Empire. It could be done but for some odd reason I just think it's a conscious choice that they've avoided doing it again since then. I mean certainly it can't be because of the "taboo" nature of such relationships. I mean Bioware has had "controversial" same sex romance options up the wazoo for years now so I really don't think many people would bat an eyelash at a polyamorous romance options at this point.
