I will try to be strong but it is not looking well for Varric or Blackwall, though Bioware could always surprise us and NOT put a male elf in an LI slot and instead put Varric or Blackwall in....maybe....possibly........... *makes sad kitten sounds*

I look at it this way, we have 2 left which are more than likely the two race gated romances, cause as I have said before I think the gender gated romances won't be race gated cause they are already restricted, we now have 2 Bi romances that are not race gated. Bioware confirmed all romances will be companions and advisers so lets look at them.
3 advisers
Cullen (female only/gender gated)
Josephine (Bi/confirmed not to be race gated)
Leliana (not a romance because of her being a former companion and romance)
9 Companions
The 3 I think are not Romance options
Blackwall (not a romance cause of him being a Grey Warden near the time of his calling, mostly my opinion)
Solas (Doesn't come across as the romance type, plus he said he doesn't like being seen as just an elf so that marks out his chances of being a race gated bi romance)
Cole (confirmed not to be a romance I think)
The Ones Confirmed
Cassandra (Male Only/ Gender Gated)
Dorian (Male Only/Gender Gated)
Iron Bull (Bi/ Not Race Gated)
Sera (Female Only/ Gender Gated)
So with that I think the last two romances are......
Varric- I mostly want this just for the Varric fan base, I don't know about his preferences but Varric came across to me as a guy who prefers women only but idk, I think he will be race gated to dwarfs though as he said he doesn't find humans attractive.
Vivienne- She is the last female in the group and I believe everyone is expecting the last two to be 1 male and 1 female so with what we know about her character I think she will be bi and be humans only.
This is all my opinion based on what I know, have seen and read from others.
My exact prediction. I believe Varric will only be for female dwarfs and I agree, I don't see Solas being an LI because he doesn't seem like the type and Blackwall seems to old. But I will disagree on Vivienne, I do agree she will be a bi LI but I believe she will be available to humans, elves and dwarfs.
Folks have been asking for a Qunari romance for a few years now. A lot of people thought it was possible, actually. It was the lack of race-gating many of us are still pleasantly surprised at. I personally think he's got a lot character to his looks. You don't have to find him attractive, but calling him a monster is a little much.

I never said it was my opinion and I'm happy for Iron Bull fans. But if I took a shot everytime someone goes: "but his age, but his calling" I would be wasted. It's starting to become irritating.
Okay guys, who do you think are the remaining romances?
As we already know Cullen, and Sera are the confirmed female options.
Cassandra, and Dorian are the confirmed male options.
Josephine, and THE (lol) Iron Bull are confirmed for both.
So that leaves Solas, Blackwall, Varric, and Vivienne.
I am going to to try and come up with a logical romance pool I guess you would call it so let's start:
Male:
1) Cassandra
2) Dorian
3) Vivienne
Female:
1) Cullen
2) Sera
3) Blackwall/Varric
Both:
1) Josephine
2) Iron Bull
3) Solas
All of the unconfirmed romances above are my own speculations, but allow to try and explain them.
I think Solas will be Bi because, Bioware would get a huge uproar if the Elves were only for females... which would happen if he was only for females. I could see it now, and the reason why he would not be just for males would be because Dorian is the gay romance option for males and is said to the be the first so I don't think Bioware would have two gay *when I say gay I do not mean lesbian I mean gay lol* romances which would make the impact less...well impactful if Dorian was the only gay option. So I think it is only logical that Solas is a bi option.
Now onto the regards of Varric if he is not going to be romanceable by females he will not be a romance option at all, there are no lee way for that since Varric is into females.
Blackwall I think will be a female option because the story...it has the potential to be so tragic and I can see Bioware using that.
Then that leaves Vivienne who would be the last option to fill out the male side for romances.
For race-gated romances I think it will be/would be Cassandra and Solas. If Blackwall is not a romance then Varric would be for females and be race-gated because he said it himself, he is not into humans or other races besides his own. So if that were to occur then I think the race-gated romances would be Varric and Cassandra.
Varric is really the least likely to be an LI in my opinion cause of Bianca. I doubt we'll get Blackwall as well

Meh, I have no reason to worry about Varric myself. Either he is a LI, and I'll do a happy dance or he isn't; and I'll mourn for a bit, congratulate the fans that did get their LIs (both at the same time, knowing me) then go right back to being thrilled that I get Varric back as a friend and party member.
If I try to think about the odds of his romance, or anything like that, I'll have a longer summer than I need to due to bad stress. Only the devs can tell those that want a Varric romance that it isn't going to happen, and no need let your nerves run away from you. Also, nothing we can do about it know; it's been set in stone (dwarf pun, HA!) for a long time now.
I think he's got a very viable shot much as anyone else, and if you ever want to stop by his thread, we've got some pretty good lore reasons we've come up with before.

As you said I am not to worried whether he is one or not since I don't go for male romance options since I'm a straight male lol, I do want Vivi to be a bi option though that will be more yuri goodness to enjoy after my play throughs of romancing Sera and Josephine lol
Just a thought of mine but if most believe Varric will be gated based on a jokey comment he said, what, more than 5 years ago now? Not only that but a comment you had to dig to even get. Why isn't Cullen also assumed to be off limits to dwarfs because of HIS comments about them years ago as well? Just curious. If Cullen can change his mind or opinions over time why can't Varric? Assuming of course the human comment was even serious to begin with.

Cole isn't a romance option. Mike Laidlaw stated this directly in the Raptr Q&A a few days ago.

cause I can't stop thinking about the chances of all of them. I mean I won't throw a huge fit if they aren't I'll pout for about a day but thats it.
Thanks I'll go check out his thread some time I usually just stay in the romance thread since it tends to cover most of the characters instead of trying to keep up with so many different threads but I'd be interested to see some of these lore reasons

Well, yes. But dwarf ONLY? I dunno, that's a stretch.
Doesn't help that I don't think there was ONE female dwarf in all of DA 2, we could at least see if he had flirted with one but heck I don't remember seeing one in the game it was always male dwarfs.
As much as I like Varric I am against him being a LI. It would be terribly unfair to steal him from Bianca and I know from personal experience how horrible it is when some girl jumps into your life takes your crush/love from you and leaves you with nothing but pain and misery. I would never allow my characters to become such a monster
To be fair, she could be dead. I think it depends on what they plan to do with her character, if anything. But I think they do sort of need to resolve what happened if he's going to be an LI.

Also it's possible the last 2 won't both be BI. We can't assume the race-gates will only affect the bisexual characters anyway.

So we REALLY believe Bioware will go as far to make a LI not only gender gated but on top of that race gated? Yeah don't know about that but as long as it isn't Sera I'll be ok
