They are going to be at the San Diego Comic-con, which starts on the 24th.. in about 11 days. So not too long!

I think they should JUST reveal the last two's sexual orientations and preferences (not who they are though), so we can spend the next three months guessing with at least some direction
Personally I want them to save the race-gating info for the game itself

It's better to tear the band-aid off quickly, than sit here and rip it off slowly imo. I think the longer we don't know, the more needlessly frustrated people are going to get..which means they are going to take the news even more poorly when it finally gets announced.

Well, actually it will. People want Blackwall, Solas, Varric, and Vivienne. Since only two are Lis, it will hurt the fans wanting the two who don't make the cut.
Better to know before the game is released than to find out in-game.
They might be holding back the last two since they are race-gated (yes I believe the last 2 are race-gated and not the straight or gay LI's because double restrictions are just excessive). The race-gating may leave a bad taste in people's mouths, especially if it is for characters like Blackwall or Solas, since at this point it is extremely difficult for fans to come up with good reasons why those two would be race- restricted based on their descriptions so far.

In response to comment (Jessica is reading off some real criticisms they've gotten): "It seems like you're making games for minorities, and straight white guys are an afterthought."
P. Weekes: I think straighty is gonna be ok. I think straighty's gonna make it through.
David: *laughing* Stop saying "straighty"!
P. Weekes: I can say that, i'm a straight guy. I'm taking the word back.
I'm not sure you could classify people other than straight white guys as minorities in the Bioware fanbase. Seems like we are a pretty diversely populated group

The last two might not be the race-gated LIs. If they are, then BioWare could just reveal whether they are both bisexual or not.

I can already see the drama. Someone wants to romance Sera, creates a qunari - half way through the game it turns out she is only into humans and elves.

I feel people see criticism as somehow inhibiting their right to free speech. This is wrong. I have this conversation with several people and we are seeing the idea of a criticism of being prejudice an actual prejudice. Even on forums across the internet, half the time accusing someone of being phobic or an ism is treated the same as actual isms.
Somehow people have started equating say being called racist as being racist. or being called homophobic is actually heterophobia, and the list goes on and on. And it comes down to insisting you can criticize others without criticism. My sister feels gay people are bigoted because they don't respect her religion of disliking them. And it comes down to I can criticize you for going against my religion but how dare you find problem with me criticizing you.
The whole thing has turned into insisting people respect your disrespect and then honor it, despite the whole thing is derived from their disrespect. It is insisting I respect your complete disrespect of me. It is a completely unfair one way street where someones lack of respect towards you must be honored more than your existance. Like people who have troubl;e with so many gay characters on TV. "I have the right to pretend you don't exist, and it is unfair you are existing as openly as I without my consent" Thus the "forcing down my throat" comments.
We have somehow conflated these terms to be equal to actually being them and have made their meanings so evil that people never sit down and examine their actions or feelings. The fact we would rather argue semantics, get upset and claim faux rights that you are denying other people in the exact arguement. (Claiming you should be allowed to remain uncriticized while criticizing others) instead of make minor adjustments in our lives to help others. Every man is sexist, every white person is racist, every heterosexual person is homophobic, and every Cis person is transphobic mainly because of how society works to socialize us with an imbalance of power and we learn these power structures very young. Unlearning them is hard and never completely achievable and thinking you are immune is when people are most likely to be cruel because they believe it is impossible not to. it isn't an insult. it is how power dynamics effect our psyche. the first step is listening to others and not jilting them because their problems dont effect you. The second is just plain vigilance and patience.

Way I see it is we have become too PC, "the right to freedom of speech" is often touted, however over the years it has become diluted to a meaningless term, where you have to second guess every little detail of what your going to say for fear that someone, somewhere will be offended, so should everyone in the entire world just stop speaking all together because inevitably somebody, somewhere will be offended after all that would solved the issue straight away right?.At the moment it there is a double standard where if a Caucasian man describes a man of African Ethnicity as "black" then the whole world is up in arms, turn the tables however and have the African man describe the the Caucasian man as a "snowman" and nobody bats an eyelid.
Since you quoted me, is it reasonable to assume that you read my earlier posts on this.
It's trivially easy to recognize why there's a double standard, because as a white person I'm not typically attacked for being white. Names for black people (or other minorities) often evolve into slurs by nature of them being part of an oppressed group. You see it with a lot of other terms, such as idiot, retard, and even to some extent something like gay. When these words were created they had a very specific definition of what they were applied to. Problem is that people (often us white dudes) started applying it in disparaging ways. As a white person, I'm so rarely attacked for being "white" especially in my part of the world (North America). I have never been called a "snowman." People have never systemically used that word to classify me nor denigrate me as a human.
This is off topic though. If you wish to discuss this send me a PM, but if being political correct falls roughly into alignment of "treat people with respect" then fine. If you, for example, insist on referring to a trans person as "it" while insisting that it's a gender neutral term, I'm just going to conclude that this heterosexual guy doesn't like being referred to as "it" either. If I were to ever see "Have you heard of Allan? It is a moderator on a forum and from time to time, it speaks with the fans" I'm sure as crap going to go "Dude, what the crap?" And if that person insists on some measure of "freedom of speech," then that person is basically saying "HEY HEY, I'm legally entitled to say this without fear of government oppression" as though that's some sort of compelling reason to say it. Bravo... I'll still think that person is an ass. And I'll consider the posting inflammatory and probably start moderating it because one's freedom of speech doesn't prevent BioWare from saying that that type of vocabulary is disrespectful and unwelcome on the boards it runs.
Now lets move on. Further responses to this post belong in PM.

I think it might be one of the already confirmed ones and one of the BI LI's
My guess would be Cullen and Vivienne (if confirmed)

Indeed. I'm a straight white guy, but my girlfriend (also a BioWare fan) is black. There are also plenty of homosexual and bisexual fans (and other sexualities), as well as people of all ethnicities and countries (and religions). We're probably among the most diverse fanbases, if not THE most.
BioWare shouldn't appeal to just one demographic. They should make interesting characters that we can all love or hate.

Vivienne is the best bet for a race gate if she's available.
