That's it! I am tired of being ms. nice girl! Let's just spam and annoy all the devs until they have no choice but to tell us!

Though... I guess that wouldn't be very nice. Also, I don't have twitter, so... ummm.... ![]()

I don't have Twitter, either. Admittedly, this was not the most well thought plan.
Maybe they will hire me for the Bioware marketing team....

Marketer Morty: You get an LI, and you get an LI. Everybody gets an LI!
No, they both need to be bisexual for equal numbers to be achieved.
This is why I'm worried about Varric being the last guy.
This is so confusing
I get it now though.
edit: though I'm not sure about a possible reason to race-gate Cullen that is better than the dwarves-fade one
Cullen has shown prejudices against Dwarves and Qunari in previous games. Having prejudices against a race is a "good enough" reason to not be attracted to them.
Actually couldn't an already confirmed LI be race gated? I don't recall anyone in Bioware saying any of the confirmed Love Interests are confirmed available to all races other than Iron Bull. Like say for example, Cullen could be available to every race but dwarves while Varric is limited to only dwarves.
Josephine was also confirmed as not gated in her character profile. I doubt any of the revealed love interests are race-gated, though (certainly not the gay ones). I think it'll be the last two, regardless of their sexual orientations.
Re: race + gender gating being too much gating for one character: I'm not sure about this? If humans are one of the races available to a race-gated love interest, that's already close to 80 percent of player characters of either gender. A human-only, gender-gated romance wouldn't be available to many fewer PCs than either Cullen or Cassandra. If humans can't romance one of the gated options, well, there'd already be many, many fewer player characters with access to that content, whether the character is straight or bi. Maybe the LI would be bi, maybe not. We won't know until we know, of course.
I agree that they might not have revealed the last two love interests at gaymerx because they're straight. Disappointing, but four queer love interests still isn't that bad. And if the last two don't include Solas, I don't really care anyway.
I also think Cullen might be race gated
If he is, it'd be a retcon if he doesn't like elves. He liked Surana.

Yep.
Qunari and dwarves? Fair enough. Elves? Nope.
Unless he just doesn't like the Dalish because he's a strict Andrastrian. But I doubt Cullen will be gated from elves.
I originally said I wanted Blackwall, Iron Bull, and Varric. And if I got one, I'd be happy. So at least I'm not going home empty-handed, so to speak.
But now I just want Varric and Blackwall more. Which proves I am a massive hypocrite.
(I still really want to go for Blackwall, because he's like an older, shaggier version of my husband, and that's pretty awesome. And Varric needs no explaining. Especially since I'll be dwarfing the first round.) It doesn't help that Solas is starting to sound interesting. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, I guess.
I want Vivienne as a Bi romance, and then I want a ton of other people to be happy with the other announcement!!
We should spam the devs until candy comes out

So I just had a thought. Personally, I'm leaning toward the fact that at least one of the already revealed romances will be race-gated. It just sounds, from the GaymerX romance panel, that Iron Bull was race-gated up until very recently, to the point where they actually had to remove dialogue in the game to explain the gating. I'm kind of thinking this means he was one of those romances that was added later rather than originally planned as one of the 'main' romances... which means that they have not yet revealed the 'original' (un-gated) bisexual male romance. Possibly? Maybe? Uh, I just want to stop thinking about this already. My head hurts.
On Cullen being gated: the other reason Cullen was disparaging against dwarves and Qunari in the past is because they are heathens to him. But because we're a surface dwarf, and a Vashoth, we can actually be Andrastrian. That makes race-gating Cullen harder to explain. Now, Cullen could have issues with qunari due to Kirkwall, like Varric seems to, and being gated against elves because they are Dalish and, thus, also heathens, would make more sense to me.

Depending on how prejudiced he is, Cullen may paint all dwarves and Qunari with the same brush regardless of origins.

He doesn't appear to be bothered by Varric, or a dwarven Warden. It's only Oghren who gets his ire.
yeah Cullen comes off as the kind who is stuck in his ways, thats why I see him being gated
If you have to play as an Andrastrian to get with Cullen then that will be a romance I will not be completing I don't like playing any of my characters as religious so no Cullen for me. Though if he is racegated and that is due to his religious beliefs how would he feel about a human PC who wasn't Adrastrian I wonder.
Considering that Bioware has said that the amount of romances for each sexual preference won't be equal in this game, gets me thinking that the last 2 romances revealed will be ones that will skew things. I.E. like they may not be bisexual so we could easily get something like Varric is straight and dwarf only (to give players incentive to play dwarves at least once), like Solas is gay, Vivienne is straight and into humans only, Blackwall is straight and not race restricted, etc.

tolerating someone and romancing someone is completely different

No, but the subject isn't really broached that far in our limited interaction with him.

Hence why I think him being gated against dwarves unlikely. Qunari, though, I could see. If Varric is still bothered by them after these years, then Cullen--who was probably fighting Qunari in the streets of Kirkwall--could have issues with them as well.
That said, I'm still betting the two unannounced LI's are the gated ones.

Very true, but, still, one aggravated confrontation does not a tendency make.

Indeed it isn't! Which is why I currently doubt he'll be gated against dwarves--not enough data to make a determination. ![]()
