Okay, seriously, straight people aren't going to get fewer options than gay ones.

I understand that BioWare is Canadian and the queer agenda has planted a flag in the HQ, but it's not going to happen. They have made ONE game with perfectly equal options.

Although, can I just say that I saw someone say they thought Vivienne should've been the lesbian option because she was "into dresses and balls and all those things" so that automatically meant she was gonna be into girls. Because the things someone does to make themselves happy has anything to do with might attract them sexually.

Maybe I'm being naïve but I think that there will be 5 or 6 companions that are full romances with minimal gating and 2 or 3 more gated romances.

 

Gating will have more to do with what they can do as far as scenes for than as writing. Just imagine trying to get a Qunari and Dwarf to kiss. That would be a one off scene that you could not really use for anything else without a lot of work.

 

The reason they may not be sharing details is because they just don't know how much they can do in 12 weeks.

I think the only companions that will deal with gating is Iron Bull and Varric. Because of "I skeered I break you with my mayhem" and to keep Varric from... you know lying to Hawke when he said he wasn't into humans. So I think dwarves and maybe elves will be Iron Bull proof and Varric might only be into dwarves or elves (considering his fascination with Merrill here).

At Alpha stage, they're not working on anything new. Only tweaking what is there.

The whole thing was cruel. Poor Hawke getting horny yet choir boy is too prudish to take care of her needs. He can chew on that prince title we helped him recover and then choke on it!

Alpha is feature complete. So they could easily still be working on cinematics. Unless John Epler drops by we won't know.

I'm not sure if "Scribbles" is to your taste, but I personally think she's lovely.  She's my vote on the other straight LI for men. 

I haven't seen a close enough shot of her to say whether she's lovely or not, but her hair makes me want to claw my eyes out. /hyperbole

I'm hopeful that when Mike tweeted that it was more than any DA game that he was doing that to keep things simple because its not going to be more than ME3 if you count all imports.  

When he said 'there's more romances in any BW game', it was like it was a big deal so I have a little bit of hope that its going to be more than just six, possibly eight.
