Bioware in a gif....
I know the intent, but in the actual video, Cookie Monster is teaching the woman how to Omnomnom.
lol Cookie Monster's gasp look made me LOL so hard
How is the player supposed to know about that without meta-gaming? He never tells the female Hawke and he certainly never talks about an attraction to men during the game outside of that instance, or to a female. I know he's bi, but my problem is that the DA team choose to hide from a female Hawke. It never will sit right with me. As you'll see, there is no lore reason for it at all.
Same here: I'll concede a point though. On the one hand I think I kinda understand it. If I were bisexual and I was interested in flirting with a woman I imagine I would be more inclined to talk about ex-girlfriends than ex-boyfriends. But Karl isn't just random ex number three. Karl just died, Anders is still emotional about him, in fact, I think Karl's death sets Anders' tone throughout the entire game.
It feels like, to me, that the approach here was that Anders talking about Karl romantically would scare off straight or bisexual women. Which is kind of insulting to those who don't care. And to those who do... don't we not care about what biphobic people think? Maybe Anders has his good reasons...but it just felt like erasure even if that wasn't the intention. We had 4 bisexual companions and the only one who was allowed to be openly bisexual was the promiscuous one.

Illustrating quite a few fans who are waiting for the details of the LIs in one gif.

Sesame Street always manages to make me smile thanks for posting that:)
It's an awesome interview, and the gif wasn't doing it justice.

I've seen this discussion several times, and I'd just like to give my two cents on it. While I too think it might have been better if Anders had told LadyHawkes about him and Karl too, I can see a reason why they removed that reference: some, even many, women might have taken that as a signal that he was gay, not bisexual, and thus written him off. Just think about ME3, where Cortez talking about his dead husband is basically BioWare telling the player that he is a gay LI - in the same way, Anders telling us about his ex-boyfriend could have sent the message that he was a gay LI to some gamers.

The problem arises when they COMPLETELY erases that part of his personality if it is a LadyHawke. He does not hint, he does not reference. Nothing.
I hope someone cracks soon and reveals the last two LI and which are race-gated.
I've not decided completely on a romance yet, and won't until I have the game and see who "clicks" with my PC, but atm it's out of Cullen and Iron Bull.
But now I'm feeling greedy and I'm hoping for Solas too.
I have my fingers crossed for a cute elven romance.
By the way, is that whole 8 romances just some arbitrary number people have settled on, or is it actually a confirmed total?
They should give out hints. ![]()
So how close were the Garrus and Tali reveals before ME2 came out?

That's a fair point, they could definitely have retained some more subtle reference to it. And to be clear, as I said I'm not in favour of swiping it under the rug like they did, just advancing a (to me) very plausible theory.
Anyway, on topic: Wall-climbing and Smexytime in the Fade, please!
If you jump off of something, do your followers jump too or do they walk around the obstacle?

Strange place to ask, but I'm actually not sure. I think in one of the demos Mike Laidlaw jumped when controlling a character other than the Inquisitor, but I don't remember seeing any of them jump by themselves. ![]()

Of course they jump! We're the Inquisition

Whoops I totally posted this in the wrong thread. That's what I get for having multiple tabs open.
Thanks, I'll have to keep my eyes open in future demos.
This quote from David Gaider's tumblr made me feel better about the chances we'll get 2/4/2;
"I am okay with asking a player to play a different gender or sexuality if they are solely interested in romancing a specific character…but not with requiring them to do so just to have an equitable number of choices."

Yh, I took that the same way. I'm cautiously hopeful that Vivienne is a bi option after all *fingers crossed*.
I do wish they'd just announce the remaining 2 people, I have inquisitors to plan XD
Spreadsheets!

This is how I determine my random runs. The final number of each column determines which die to roll and what you get. So for the companions, you roll a D8. For the class, D3. Etc. I use https://www.wizards....d/dice/dice.htm to roll and to make custom number dice. Naturally cross out if something is not possible (like gender if a character is not bisexual). In the case of a Dwarf Mage, reroll what you prefer.
For my first roll, I rolled 3,3,1,2. So I'm gonna romance Iron Bull as a Female Elf Mage.
I hope this helps others. :3
In Lady Insanity's interview David Gaider states you don't have to have sex in all romances! I know that will be really good news for some people.
Good. When I pursue a romance option, I do so for the additional story and character interaction with characters I like, not the cheesy and awkward lovemaking scene.
