That's a pretty apt description.
I'd literally never heard of this until you mentioned it, so I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware didn't know about it either.

They originally went this route with Merrill and Fenris. But then Gaider just went "lolnope they are just bisexual.". Jerk.
Wait people wanted to romance Oghren?
Who doesn't want dwarven crafts, fine dwarven crafts, direct from Orzammar?

That's Gorim, not Oghren.
I wonder if one of the last two will be sexually ambiguous is one of the race-gated LIs have already been announced.
I'd like one since Gaider destroyed the last representation we had.
I don't know, I just have a feeling that Viv will prob be the Bi option *cough* Orlaisian after all *cough*
And she will prob be race-gated, political reasons more likely. As for the other I think Solas, straight option, not gated. Speculations, speculations everywhere! ![]()

Oghren is also a fine dwarven craft from Orzammar. [WAGGLES EYEBROWS]
It was either this line or I was gonna pull out the 'dwarven stallion' quote.

I thought it was "playersexual" before? Though I'd only ever seen them confirmed as bisexual before, even years ago.
Also, while Merrill might be a virgin, Fenris is definitely not; even discounting Danarius, he was clearly involved with more than one Fog Warrior ("Free with their affections"). It'd seem to me that ambiguity would only last for at most two partners, one of each gender, or possibly a few more if you're running through all possible gender identities. But I could well be wrong.
Maybe chill out on insulting the devs here, please?
Why? He insulted me.

No, playersexual is when players project the sexuality they want on a character(ex. Merrill romances a guy, so she is straight.).

But if they revealed the romances now, where would they get their fan tears from?biower pls put us out of our misery now

How so?Playersexual is not a sexuality that needs representation...

Actually he was being understanding of how playersexuality is erasing of bisexual identities.
By saying that those who are sexually ambiguous, like me, are just bisexual. He erased one orientation with another. He is no better than those he was criticizing. ![]()

He didn't say you were bisexual. He said Merrill was. She was probably always planned to be bisexual. I'm sorry if you misunderstood this.
Playersexual is not a sexuality that needs representation.... and even if you call it "ambiguous" instead, people will still read that as gay or straight depending on who they're playing.
The other problem with ambiguous is that as a society we tend to default to assuming straight when a specified sexuality isn't given. And then no one is getting the representation they need.
I personally don't understand why we need things from games. Don't we just want these things? No one in the game really exists, only Bioware developers and writers who are doing their best to be inclusive to people that other companies tend to forget about.
The representation would be their caring enough to write good stories and make dialogue that fits for gay and straight. The characters within the game's relationships don't raise eyebrows in the playersexual, so no one is judging. You live in a world where everyone accepts whomever you love. Your gay relationship is on par with a straight one--isn't that the world you want to live in?
I guess I'm not seeing the problem for playersexual.

the inevitable flood of tears from the fans of the 2 chars who didnt make the LI cut xD
If they're a character in a Bioware game, someone, somewhere, has wanted to romance them.
Most people say this kind of thing in a derogatory way, like "BSN is obsessed with banging everyone" (not saying it's your case!), but you know, I actually think it's nice that everyone gets some love, not only the pretty people, the ones we're suppossed to be into ![]()
