Well, the female one (assuming there are 4 male and 4 female) is almost certainly Vivienne. Of the remaining two males, I would say it's either Varric or Solas.

all this talk about sexuality and metagame knowledge is lame... let us instead speculate on who else would be romancable!
granted, that might be moot, since who wants to romance the remaining companions? (besides Varric)
*raises hand*
I want Vivienne for my male Rift Mage.
But yeah, Varric please. (I'd also be happy with Solas. Just prefer Varric)

Doesn't even have to be a character per se, probably more apt to say any object in a Bioware game.

Romance option pls

This is pretty much exactly how I feel (though i'd like Vivi for my qunari warrior, but otherwise

What is sexually ambiguous exactly?
If you don't mind, can you explain to me what it means to be "sexually ambiguous" and how it's different than bisexuality or pansexuality? I'm not sure I understand, but I'd like to. If you feel more comfortable PMing me, that would be cool too.
It's hard to explain since by its very nature it is ambiguous. To use a metaphor:
Imagine a foggy day in a mountain range, with only the peaks exposed. Each peak would be a set sexuality, like straight, gay, bi, pan, asexual, etc. I would best be explained as in the fog between the mountain peaks where you can't tell which mountain path goes to which peak. As such, I could technically be on any but identify as being on none.

Probably should put race in mine too. Also Qunari lol
Really hope they don't pull a 5/3 gender split O.O

All right time for another round of speculation.
We've not had a romanceable dwarf companion before so...Varric. This cargoship must sink.
As for the second one, Blackwall is too Duncan/Papa Bear, so Vivienne or Solas.
I also think the last two will be Vivienne and Solas, I will be surprised if she is not an option.

I don't like the idea that some groups getting less options is more acceptable than other groups.
If we were to have a particular learning towards an orientation, I'd have less reservations with a straight man having less options than a group that almost always gets less options.
Not out of any sort of "HAHAHAHA straight white men (of which I am one) it's your turn to suffer" but rather from the standpoint of "I'm more inclined to see the other people get a bit more focus than they typically do."
While yes, one person's reward can always be seen as another person's punishment, I think it lacks perspective to say that it's precisely equivalent.

Page 600 - Water is running out. People are still running their Mouths dry with Arguments over which sexual and or romantic Orientation of the increasingly long List should be represented in which Way. I don't know if I can still make it to the other Side. There seems no End in Sight - no Agreement, no Wishes for everyone should be happy. Just arguing, endless arguing. If I perish before the final Goal, let this be known - I died at Chateau Haine on the BSN...

Isn't this really just a more accurate representation of how sexuality works in general? Isn't it more of a spectrum? I've always found it weird we have to make up these really precise terms for where someone falls on the spectrum and try to quantify them.

I'd like Varric and Solas. In my beautiful, strange, totally paradisiac world, Varric, Solas and Viv would all be LI.
but two slot are remaining.
one is for Viv, it's only right. for equality.
I'll be happy if the last slot is for varric or Solas. very happy.
no matter what, even if one of these two is a LI (there is still Blacwall) I will be a little depressed because the other is not. ![]()

My guesses are Vivienne and Solas/Varric. The race gates are said to be for story reasons and since I do not know the story, I will wait until that information is revealed or confirmed by the devs. ![]()
Edit: As for orientation, I honestly cannot say. There is little to be known about Vivienne or Solas to determine their orientation and Varric...well we know he likes females so it would probably be either straight or bi for him.

. While I will say, over and over again, you should be completely free to define your sexuality however you want, I hope you realize why Bioware won't be necessarily inclined to make sure one sexuality out of hundreds isn't included in the game.

But if you don't identify as asexual you must feel an attraction to something, and presumably that would be enough to determine a sexuality, or at least guess at which one is most likely.

But the praised "gay man would get more time time around at the expense of straight men" also means it's a at the expense of lesbian women, how on earth is that a good thing ?

must be the hat
I'm not sure what I hope for at this point. I guess I can't complain as I'll likely get at least one of my choices (I mostly hope that'll be Varric though)

I know it is hard. It is for me too. But that is why I love DA2's romance system. Through sheer chance, they had my orientation in the form of Merrill. But then Gaider just goes "That is bisexual" and takes away the best example of representation I'll ever get in a Bioware game since they don't want to go back due to their dislike of playersexuality.

I'm just ballparking it here because I have never experienced such sexuality myself, but it's different from bisexuality where there is a certainty of being attracted to both male and female, whereas with ambiguous sexuality, there's no certainity, probably not even at all, and you're only sure of just how you feel when you develop a close and intimate relationship with someone who just... "clicks" with you.

To be honest, even when talking about gay men, it's always about gay white men, just look at all the TV shows and movies featuring gay characters. That is why Dorian is very refreshing because he don't look "white" in your typical sense. I would want to see more LIs that are not white by default in general. If we were to have a particular learning towards an orientation, I'd have less reservations with a straight man having less options than a group that almost always gets less options.

there's no indication that the two remaining LI's will be male.
