Same. Everytime there's a villian LI I take it >_> Chikage is still my favorite romance in Hakuoki. He has half the chapters of everyone else and I still can't resist.
 

 

I have not had the chance to play any games with an Villain LI in it before and I feel like I'm missing out a little cause I get drawn to them quicker than I do heroes usually anyway.

 

Heck this is what my last crush was on (might not be a villain persay but close enough for me)((got a new pic maybe now its fixed, the one with the helmet on))

Only an anti-villain, IMO, could work as a romance. I don't get the full Magneto reference.

Well, I don't want to make the issue too.. personal, I guess, but I'm a little sensitive to the issue because I've been in an abusive relationship before. So, I'm a bit reluctant at the idea, I suppose. It depends on how it was handled. I do not really like the idea of relationships that involve a lot of violence or hostility. Aggressive personalities tend to make me uncomfortable, generally, and it's already lead to me avoiding some in-game romances, but nothing I couldn't handle on a friendship path so far. So, my response is basically.. would I be happy about this taking up a romance slot? Is it something that could bleed through in my game in ways that make me uncomfortable (like the issue I mentioned in a previous post) even if I wasn't engaging the relationship? I have a lot of reservations about it, but I'd have to know more details to take a solid stance.  

 

I certainly don't want to make light of abusive relationships(haven't personally experienced one but I've seen the aftermath plenty of times), and honestly I'm not exactly an advocate for the "villain romance" concept at all.

 

I'm just thinking, first and foremost, if they were to do it, it would be an "extra" romance not taking up one of the main slots. 

 

I'd also think that in any event, such a romance likely wouldn't be for you or anyone who had experienced such abuse due to the inherently antagonistic nature of it(though I suspect some people are going for more of a Batman and Catwoman vibe with this).

I guess in P3P one of the dudes is kind of anti-villianish. Edit: Well he is the big bad but...he's not evil about it. (And a giant woobie and I want to hold him to my bosom and never let go). It's my favorite romance. (seriously one of the things that I love about P3P is so many of the guys are woobies and you can romance all of them in one playthrough and no one cares )

As an "extra" romance, something like an Anora level thing, I would have less concerns, but if it was very obscured if you didn't trigger it yourself, that would be ideal. As in, maybe they would have no dialogue or context to hint they develop feelings for you at all if you didn't choose flirt options in early conversations. I'm not as concerned even of losing a slot to a romance type I dislike as I am of having the context obvious in my game even if I'm not actively pursuing the relationship.

It's for PSP it was on sale for five bucks a few months back XD (the game I mean). It's the updated release of persona 3 (which was on the PS2).

 

Character with a sucky life pretty much and they just give you the urge to give them hugs D:

Turning this conversation to DA:I, though, it occurs to me that Cullen is a sort of reformed anti-Villain, depending on where you stand on what he did in Kirkwall overall, and especially when Meredith declared the ROA. Certainly someone like Xill probably wouldn't even agree on the "anti" part of the villain label.

I'd probably liked P4 more if Golden let you play a female. As it is P3P wins my vote because I felt a lot more attached to the characters XD

Fair point. But these type of discussions are suprisingly enlightening, and sometimes entertaining.

Impressive is that this type of dialogue exists. Which ever side people feel they are on I think we should not be quick to judge.

I could totally deal with a Magneto-type LI. A brilliant tactician full of ambition and passion

This is true. The ending of Days of Future Past frustratingly attests to this inconsistency.

Different authers and he did turn crazy based on how he was revived and that was fix by his best friend. Most of the time he is writtens as friend with his arch enemies. He was their school's head master, has an off an on romance with one of the team mates Rogue,and was a team member for some time.(And based on who you ask still is.)

 

And I don't see Cullen as an anti-villain. He would have to do some wrong to be that and the entire issue with mages control can be so subjective to the point that it can be seen as doing a job as a fair templer can be seen as evil.

Days of future past didn't do anything with his inconsistency. He was always an extremist in the past and he stayed with it. The past magneto may of felt Mystice had to die.

I'm sure it's done now, except for bug squashing.  I'm betting they have been working on the Iron Bull animating issue for a long time now, but didn't think they could pull it off in time.  "We shouldn't get the players' hopes up, but let's see if we can do this.  We're in for a challenge folks."

 

That wasn't really a quick change to me, so much as, "Oh hey, we can do this now and we don't have to have the lines explaining why we couldn't!"  

 

It's really up to the marketing team at this point.  Frankly, we're all ready for this LI business to be over with.

yeah this is very unlikely the game comes out in less than 4 months its pretty much finished.
