My first warden didn't trust her, tried to give her books to Wynne, and romanced Leliana. Then I decided to get to know her and...turns out she's one of my favorites.

I'd definitely recommend it, I don't play as male PCs often but I really enjoyed her romance, its especially fun if you become close friends with Alistair as well there's some great banter that comes out of it.

I loved Morrigan so much during my playthrough with a female Warden. I love, how unlike Jack from ME 2, you felt like you could get through her icy exterior without a romance. I hope Inquisitions also has plenty of options like that. All the character interactions I love in Bioware games, not just the romance.

I headcanon that she lies about where she got the ritual, genuinely loves my warden, and fills him on what's really happening on the other side of the Eluvian.

I didn't romance her until my sixth playthrough but she was actually my favorite romance. I just find her character so entertaining with her sarcasm and awkwardness. Probably because I am also quite bad at saying romantic relationshipy things and being all sentimental.

Does anyone think Dragon Age: Origins would be better without the Alister and Morrigan romances?
Or if they made Morrigan bisexual but cut Alistar's romance?
There are mods in which you can have a romantic relationship with Alistair as a male Warden or with Morrigan as a female one. The person, who made the mod, made it in one day. The same was possible in Mass Effect 1. Ashley and Kaiden were both available for same sex romance with the help of mods. Also done in one day.
Allan Schumacher said, as far as I know, that it would take 2 months for one member of the cinematic team to make all romanceable NPCs available for each race and each gender. If that is incorrect and it could also be done in one or two days, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be done.

That's what I like about her. Most of my boys think, "I can change her!"
I headcanon that they do.
Quick, someone fanart Warden Amell in a family scene with Morrigan and baby.

Agreed her friendship path is one of the reasons it took me so long to play as a male PC and romance her, though I admittedly enjoyed her and Alistair's friendship paths 100times more than I did their romances. I really hope that we get a chance to get to know romancable NPCs without having to romance them if we don't wish too.

I think at one point, Justice speaks for him and tells us to stopp manipulating him. but I'm not sure. I've just watched some youtube videos. As for me, I always play as a mage.
That's in the rivalmance

We know that romances are gender gated and race gated, but do we know if any are class gated?
We know that some of the romances might be race and gender gated.
And that one of them is at the very least gender gated.

This is what I like about DA as opposed to ME. The friendship paths are generally just as fulfilling as the romance just in a different way.
I always play female characters and I wanted to try the Morrigan romance. Yes, I used the mod. It was a nice enough romance, but I actually preferred the friend path. Usually you have to romance a character in order to really get to know them. Yes, obviously when you romance someone your relationship is going to be more intimate, but it's also nice to know that we can experience meaningful friendships as well.

Leliana: Do you love the queen?
Warden Cousland: I think I could learn to. Why?
Leliana: But what about us?
Warden Cousland:...us?
Morrigan: It's cool. Political arrangement, I get it.

Edit: I must be missing something here what are you trying to get at?
Edit again: Ninjamancing? Am I really the only person on here who hasn't been ninjamanced by Leilana? ![]()

Starting a new playthrough and romancing Morrigan, she's my favourite companion aside from Sten. And the dog. The dog doesn't argue.
Morrigan's fine how she is for me. I don't like softies. Like Leliana, couldn't manage to not offend her. Ever.

yes, but i's more realistic to have him in a rivalmance as warrior than as a mage.
it just feels wrong to not support mages as a mage.

Roughly half the time I play a male warden or more, Leliana concludes by the end of the game that I've been in a romance with her, unbeknownst to me, this whole time. In the above scenario, Leliana is upset because I entered into a political arrangement with Anora despite never being involved with Leliana in the first place, and Morrigan's fine as long as I do the ritual.

Yeah.
There's nothing like the companion from Witch Hunt noticing you playing with Morrigan's ring, though.
Ariani: A ring is a significant gift in human culture. Doesn't it signify...?
Warden Amell: Let's keep moving.

Oh. Huh I never knew how much people got ninjamanced by her until I started coming on here. Either I"m really lucky or she really doesn't like most of my wardens xD

I didn't care for the Morrigan romance, but it may be because I loved the Morrigan friendship with a Lady Warden better. Leagues better. The ending chat, the "you're like a sister," after everything the two have been through, and Morrigan's rare sentimentality, gave me incredible feels.

The modded romance scenes are extremely awkward because the dialogue is not 100% gender-neutral. I don't know about you, but my male Warden doesn't appreciate being called "my lady" and constantly being compared to a rose by Alistair, or somehow believe that my male Shepard can somehow magically turn into a woman after getting in bed with Kaidan.
Considering Allan has ACTUALLY WORKED ON THE GAME, I'm inlcined to take his words for it about it taking two months.

Stuff like that's why I wouldn't use such mods.
Although, even if she were willing to spend time with a man, it might be in Sera's nature to call him a girl afterward...

Well yes it can be done in one day if all you do is remove the restriction. But it requires the player to just ignore all the dialogue that assumes the PC is a woman and probably wonky romance animations too. Alistair still gives the male PC a rose and calls him beautiful and there's probably other dialogue indicating that he's talking to a woman.
People who really want to romance Alistair are willing to overlook that but I don't think the devs would (or should) ship a romance in that state.

I concur. She doesn't do...emotion well. She was raised to believe everyone wants something, so she spends 99.9% of their relationship thinking that a male wants sex, but what does a female want? Nothing. Nothing at all.
Foreign territory to Morrigan.
