As someone from Australia (is there any other Australians here? *waves* ), I feel the need to point out the smallest jellyfish is one that can definitely kill someone quite dead. So if anyone in the Fishquisition is one, steer clear! D8

Oh, I was there a couple of weeks ago for MIAF. My friends and I loved it there, right down to even the freezing cold weather. I'll probably have to relocate there because the animation industry isn't so hot up here in Brisbane.

Another round of predictions, not that I've been doing so well.

 

We know they want to give everyone a choice regardless of the character they play. We also know that IB was originally gated. Since IB provides the second option for straight woman and gay men, we need someone who would have filled that hole. The most likely gate was for qunari and against dwarves. And what do you know:, Varric's tension with qunari is mentioned in his author interview. We also know he likes dwarves. He's also fan-requested. The eighth slot could go a few ways. Assuming Sera and Cass are ungated, straight men and lesbians never would have needed another character to give them a second option. So it's possible that the race gates are a straight man and a gay man. In which case, flip a coin between Blackwall and Solas. But I think it's more likely Vivienne is bisexual, with Varric and IB originally complementing each other. So:

Dorian

Sera

 

Iron Bull

Josephine

Varric

Vivienne

I think the only one who I'd say is almost certain to be straight is Varric, all the rest could pass as bisexual though one of the race-gates may be straight. This would make it 3/3/2 with one from each of the three being race-gated (likely Varric/Solas and Vivienne).
