About Anders, I like him, I don't think he's such an awful person, at all. Not going to say that his terrorist act it's justified, but I'm goin to say that terrorism cannot be thought in the same way when talking about democratic, liberal societies as most western societies are, than when we're talking about a feudal, non democratic and very oppresive society.  I know it it's terribly OT though (and I'd never go into a thread where it is not  :D ), so I'll leave it at that

I thought it was far worse when those two ganged up on Merrill.

Yep, I like Fenris, but I never put him in the same party with Merril. Did it in one playthrough, never again. The banter isn't nice

Edi: contrary to most people, though, I'm not bothered by Anders-Fenris constantly arguing, even if it sometimes it's childish

Yeah unknown mages. Not someone he hates especially not against clones of himself.

He's saved Anders in battle plenty of times due to being loyal to me.

Nah, I let him join Isabela's crew while Anders and I ran for it. So I'm just out of the cards. He's not in the grave/slaveyard or anything.

No offense to Andersmancers, but I tried to romance Anders on my second playthrough, and I could not complete it. Midway through, it just got weird. I don't know if it's cause I knew what he was going to do, or what else, but it felt kinda creepy to me. So I nope'd the hell out of there.

Okay. First. It's not the same Anders. Second Fenris sees someone that looks like him, a different version of Hawke having anders tired up and bought to throw him in a volcano.

But I suppose yes if your Fenris attacked me he'd have to go. Thankfully my Hawke would have experience dispatching Fenris and Anders from the fade trip. (Yay Force Mage).

I completely agree with you on your first point, that's a good way of putting it. I like Anders, too, but I just never really want to get into a debate about it because I know the reasons for disliking him are more than reasonable. There's nothing for me to really argue besides my opinion.

Interesting... I didn't take Fenris around with me as much as Anders or Merrill so I didn't know he also had some cruel banter towards her... but it makes sense I suppose. :x

Or you could stop trying to kill people for their words and we could stop this farce at any given moment.

My favorite Anders-Fenris banter -

Anders: I can't imagine what Hawke sees in you.

Fenris: It is done. Leave it be.

Anders: Well, good. I always knew she/he had some sense.

Fenris: Do not make light of this. Leaving was the hardest thing I've ever done.

Isabela: Oh, will you two get over yourselves? You're like two dogs around a ****** in heat.

I'd be pretty creeped out by the fact that not only is there someone else inside him watching when you have sex, that someone can also take control of Anders' body.

It's like "ceiling cat is watching you masturbate"...except Justice. And sex.

Oh, it was pretty bad. When Fenris called her a witch, I wanted so bad for my Hawke to deck him. It seriously p!ssed me off. It was downright cruel.

On the note of romancing Anders. The only romance of his I like is the rivalmance *shrug* his friendship mance just...left me ugh. I reloaded and rivalmanced Fenris instead or Merrill.

Now on my pro mage playthroughs I just friend Anders, romance Fenris or Merrill then just kill Anders because it's fitting. I don't help him in the chantry because it smells and just call it a day with him ranting at my Hawke that he's not really a friend. Yeah whatever psycho.

I love Anders. I don't disagree with what he did, honestly, but this is not the place to get into it, I know. lol

I agree that the loaded version of modern "terrorism" is not the same as what Anders did, but then I think that form of warfare has more validity in certain cases than others seem to.

the whole aching moment was when I pretty much went "..." and the catty remarks during the Justice quest are just...really? The sheer hypocrisy of them is what gets me though. Least Merrill and Fenris call him on it.

I'm pretty sure if I had access to the amount of time each companion spent in my party overall Anders and Merill would probably only log about one hour each. Anders because he irked my soul like no one else. Merill because I've never been a fan of the bookish and innocent type of charcters; I only ever started romancing Liara in ME after playing ME2.

I kind of get Fenris rage though. As far as he's considered she had everything he could possibly want and threw it away to chase ghosts in his view.

It's not justified at all but I get where the rage is coming from.

The one complaint I'd have about DA2 would be how intense the hatred and aggression got between the companions constantly... It was like I was babysitting a bunch of whiny brats sometimes. I remember Aveline (a character I actually enjoy for the most part) calling Isabela a ****** and just like, wanting to kick her in the face.

Okay, quickly going back to the actual video of giving Fenris back to Danarius, I really wish I hadn't watched it. I literally feel sick.

Believe me I understand. I usually do the same. I don't put Fenris and Anders in the same party anymore most of the time either because the pettiness got annoying.

I did like though how Aveline and Isabela's relationship turned out though. I thought it was very well done in Act 3.
