So, how about them DAI romances?

 

Once people start getting into Fenris and Anders talks, things can spiral off real fast

I kind of get Fenris rage though. As far as he's considered she had everything he could possibly want and threw it away to chase ghosts in his view.

 

It's not justified at all but I get where the rage is coming from.

 

I understand his anger too, that's why I can overlook it when he acts like that and still like him. But better if don't have to hear it, though

I really don't want another Anders/Fenris, Morrigan/Alistair whine whine bicker bicker relationship. It's not cute. It's just annoying.

 

I don't mind if everyone doesn't get along but jeez some of them need to freaking cram it sometimes. We get it you don't like each other. That doesn't need to come up in every goddamn conversation the two of you have.

 

Ugh really hoping that's not the case for the DAI LIs now. I don't want another "I'm so much better for you~" hints.

Haha, thanks. I think I will do another romance with Fenris to wash the taste of that away, thanks very much. 

 

 

Sometimes I really like to put Anders, Fenris, and Merrill in the same party, because drama is fun, you know... But then sometimes someone (usually Fenris) will say something so beyond the pale that I - well, I have gasped, jaw dropped, covered my face, etc. - because of how awful they can be to each other. (The one I'm specifically thinking of is after Marethari dies and Fenris is talking to Merrill about it, and he says something like "I'm not sorry she's dead; I'm sorry she died for you.") Since it's a video game I can just purse my lips and "hey I'll pretend I didn't hear that" but man, if this was real life, I think I would have to seriously re-evaluate romancing this person.

 

I guess that only goes for Anders and Fenris, Merrill is ... always?... kind and thoughtful even if I don't agree with her choices.

Well, if you think about it, I can see a lot of LIs not getting along: there's potential for Sera disliking Josephine (because she's a noble and all that), Dorian and IB might have issues about Qunari-Tevinter conflict, and Cullen and IB, well, they seem to be very different... But, I agree, the question it's how far does the animosity go.

 

Anyway, I can live with Anders and Fenris banters, so I think so I'm safe, it can't get much worse

I'm really interested in seeing both Dorian's and Iron Bull's romances. I think Dorian is gonna be A LOT of fun. And for Iron Bull, I am curious as to how they will address his PTSD, especially in how it will affect his romance.

Oh, me too! From the limited amount I've read about Iron Bull, it seems like "oh he's just a silly kinda character" but then they brought up the fact that he has PTSD, he's a burned out veteran and they'll be exploring that, and that's when I decided - first playthrough romance! I love the Sad Clown trope. The silly, fun character who nonetheless has a sad past...

Merrill is sweet and I love how she stands up to them. She's not a wilting flower that shrivels up when someone says something cruel.

 

Though yeah the Marethari dialogue is where I kind of went "Not cool dude." that and the "You are a monster." after her act 2 quest. I mean damn Fenris. You don't even say crap like that to my bloodmage slaver Hawke wtf. And unlike Anders it's not a back and forth. Merrill genuinely tries to be nice to both of them and it's just NOPE. I do like how Isabela at least tries to butt in during the monster conversation but sheesh.

oh god I forgot about Sera's it thing. Please don't let them be Fenris/Anders of DAI. Well actually go ahead. I'd never have them in the same part anyway. I rarely ever keep 2 rogues in the party and Varric would be picked over either of them.

Yeah, Merrill did not deserve the crap that Fenris and Anders rained on her. For me, Merrill is the one companion where I felt the friendship/rivalry system didn't work so well, because I didn't want to agree with everything she did, but being in a rivalry just left a bad taste in my mouth. And I'd rather support Merrill emotionally (even if I'm holding my tongue on the dangers of blood magic) than join in on the Merrill Hate Parade.

 

Yeah, that Marethari conversation is seriously like the conversation where I just .... No. I'm usually understanding of Fenris and his opinions, but not this one. What he said there is like... haha, I have to pretend he didn't say it. Or else I'll get pissed off that I can't actually go and lecture him for it.

Well, it says he has a problem with the Qun do to the restriction of freedom. I imagine he'll question IB's beliefs. I can imagine him pointing out IB's blatant hypocrisy, because.. well, how could you not?
