Ah, I'd forgotten the bit about Varric not forgiving her for the interrogation process. I believe there have been some hints that the Inquisition leadership may be divided between Cassandra/Cullen and Leliana/Josephine, too. I've even sort of wondered if that's one of the reasons they want you to moderate.

From Josephine's writer interview:

 

[DA]: As a skilled diplomat, she must be difficult to win an argument against. Does she get along well with the other advisors?

 

[SF]: She has a good relationship with Leliana. They’re old acquaintances, and they both know the other is very good at what they do. That said, I think it is a relief for them to see: “Oh, our work styles mesh after all. Phew!” That’s not to say they always agree with each other, but they’re a good team.

 

Meanwhile, while Josephine and Cullen respect each other, Josephine would always rather work towards a diplomatic solution while Cullen doesn’t always think it’s the practical choice. Josephine can get impatient with that attitude and the clash in their philosophies.

Well, they are, but I imagine there's a reason why they decided they're going to put some outside party in charge. You have the hand, of course, but that alone seems like a questionable reason. It makes more sense if they can't unify without you to start with.

I was kinda thinking this, but also then thinking how if Vivienne knew we'd called her Miss Piggy, she would definitely pull out a Miss Piggy-style karate chop on us.

If Iron Bull was any kind of food my money would be on him being one of those huge challenge dishes that fill you up quickly and scare away a lot of people and you have no idea where to start with it
