Is this Muppet thing still going on?  And if so... Sesame Street is fair game?  I have a two year old, so this is like... my expertise

 

Sera would definitely be Ernie.  He's loud, has a short attention span, can't sit still for long, always wants to do fun stuff even when Bert wants him to be serious/responsible.  Plus, Ernie's rocking a bad decision haircut pretty hard

 

That said, Cass would be Bert because he has anger issues, doesn't like when people are loud or having fun, and acts serious when others are around but secretly does fun or silly things when no one is watching.

It doesn't seem likely since their outfits aren't locked.  Though I suppose there could be a slight alteration to whatever their personal style element is.  It could work!

I hope that they wear whatever you give them (like an earring or necklack, like you said) as opposed to some random accessory like the Isabela/Fenris band, or Merrill's white attire.

It's a mystery for the ages, but I personally like this explanation best.

 

Funny thing is, I saw that before I even looked at Dragon Age, learned Fenris was a romance, and what this scene was even about. So when I finally got to the heart-breaking breakup scene, I could NEVER take it seriously thanks to this comic.
