So is anyone else having trouble deciding what they're gonna import into DA:I?

 

My 'canon', I guess you could say, for DA:O is a male elf mage who romanced Zevran, but I'm REALLY curious how Leliana will be different/what she'll say about the warden in DA:I if she was romanced in DA:O. Also I can only seem to manage to play men personally, but I kinda don't want the canon history of my world state to be all male heroes/champions? So even tho it's not my 'canon', I'm considering creating a world state with a female warden who romanced Leliana.

 

Anyone else thinking of trying something new in the Keep that they didn't actually play?

It's worth noting that the advisors do have what we may as well call  "stronghold banter." They banter with each other and NPCs, reflecting their relationships and reactivity. You'll have plenty of opportunity to be around them to hear it.

Umm, yes. I have never romanced Zevran so I will create world state where a warden has.

I have never chosen to kill all the Dalish and use the werewolves which struck me as too cruel in DAO and also a world state where there is a regular baby, but not old god baby.  I could never get through my Male Cousland playthrough.  I was so bored  I also have never left Kelder in DA2 alive.  I've killed him every time so I want pick that and see what happens.

DAO: male dwarf commoner rogue dual wield- romanced morrigan (no DR, went through eluvian)
DA2: snarky female Hawke Mage- friendmanced anders (spared him but broke up with him before end)
DAI (assuming none of my chosen LI are race gated) I'm stuck between two playthroughs, aside from the obvious dwarf inquisitor and iron bull that needs to happen

Male elf archer and Cassandra, or a female qunari warrior and Sera....one of those two.

I assume David didn't want to call it banter because people would assume it's the 'walk around outside and trigger a conversation' banter and then be angry at you when it didn't happen that way.

It's good to know they chat. Is it like companion banter where you'll sometimes be prompted to comment?

I am really tempted to create a world state where the Warden fathered the OGB, which I have never done. My personal canon is female elf mage who romanced Alistair and talked him into it so neither of them would have to die. I am also tempted to have Morrigan or Leliana as the LIs to see how it could influence their dialogues. Particularly Leliana since she'll probably be around more often due to being an advisor, but who knows.

Which is what I'd like to find out. NPCs can be an ambiguous term after all where companions are concerned.

I remember reading that in previous Q&As -- that there would be advisor banter in the stronghold -- but it is great to have a devpost elaboration here for the thread (so people can easily see it when clicking on the show devpost options).  It's great stuff!  Thank you for popping in to post that.  

 

I'm keen to know if our PCs are able to take interactive part in the banter.

This is why I think this is one of the best official forums for a AAA gaming company on the net, hands down.  More sites need to take note of this here.  Every time I see a dev post, especially one that doesn't often, I cheer.  

 

It's pretty amazing. The only other major game forums where I've seen the devs interact with the customer base as much are the ones for The Secret World.

 

(Of course, maybe it's just because they love trolling us so much. Sometimes I think the DA devs and the SW devs should have some kind of sass-off.)

Yes.  It is now possible to pick a dialogue response based on the banter (when applicable), as opposed to the Inquisitor simply stating a line automatically.

Yeah, I'm thinking that I'm gonna create a world state with LadyWarden(dwarf or elf)/Leliana, and DudeHawke/Fenris. I'm torn between dwarf and elf for the warden because I like to imagine giving the elves a hero to look up to, but I also love that with a dwarf they make her a Paragon and it'd be awesome to see how that affects the DA:I world.

 

But yeah, all the heroes in my Thedas will definitely be queer.
