On to Inquisition. I do wonder how we can get away with being a complete douchecanoe and which LIs react badly to it. Cassandra's pretty much a given...
Unless she's got a thing for those types of guys, very possible >>

Out of all the LI's, and possible remaining ones, who would you be most surprised about turning out to be race-gated? (besides the two announced not to be) I can't think of good reasons for or against any of them being gated at this point. : P
Given that our PC is the one with the special snowflake green glowhand, the tool that can close the tears and mumbojumbo, I doubt being a douchecanoe is something we need to "get away with." It's basically, "I'm the one that can solve this problem, so you gotta deal with me." Or companions just leave if treated poorly enough. I don't see much in the way of concern for repercussions (lawfully, politically, socially) the likes that DA2 and the companions had to navigate.
As for our LI in particular, I'll be interested in seeing the personalities play out. Which ones might like the jerkface PC actions...
It seems a tad off-topic to me.

Does this count ones that aren't announced yet but we think might be? If so I'd say I'd be most surprised if Solas was a race gated LI given how his information states he doesn't like it when people look at him and see 'just an elf'

I think I'd be most surprised if Dorian is race-gated.
I would have romanced her given the chance.
As I played DiploHawke, I think I may have missed out on her corruption. Or not cared. Hawke having the guard captain in her pocket seemed to be something the world acknowledges in its passive-aggressive way.
It's something sarcastic Hawke says outright to Aveline, though she denies it and chastises Hawke.

It's just morally wrong to take him away from my Qunari Mquisitor.

True but the LIs at least could refuse to have a close relationship with the PC.
Same.
But I want them to kick us to the curb if we cheat on them, even if we are green-handed Moses.
Defintely.

At first, I'd say 'Solas', but I can come up with a reason for him to be gated. Cullen, Varric, Sera, and Dorian all could have reasons that I can think of. I don't know enough about Blackwall to really form an opinion about if he'd be gated. Cassandra being gated, however, would stun me.
See, you hook-up the guard captain with her husband and she helps you back. Oghran did the same in Origins. I wonder who we'll be able to play wingman to in Inquisition.
Solas looks like he needs help.
The Iron Bull and Dorian. C'mon, we even saw the gameplay video with "Dorian's clothes" in the IB's inventory. It's kismet.

Wait, what? How did I miss this??
This is slightly unrelated to the original post linking to DG's tumbler, but when did Merrill ever say that she can't imagine lesbian sex? DG quotes a fan (I'm assuming a forumite) who makes the claim that there is DA2 banter to this effect. Is this true? I never heard it.

It's a video with the female mage Qunari Inquisitor fighting a dragon. I didn't see the full video (to avoid spoilers) and I didn't have the sound on so sadly I cannot pinpoint better, but when the developers go to equip the IB with new armour, one of the items you can see is "Dorian's clothing" (or "Dorian's robes"). There's a post about it in the Dorian thread. We all joked about DorianXtheIB because of that.

I think I remembered Bethany saying something like this... but not Merrill that I recall.

Maybe with Isabela in the party? Hell if I know. I never heard it.
Dorian's robes were in Bull's inventory during the demo.Wait, what? How did I miss this??
I would be surprised if any of the monosexual people were race-gated, which I figure people have brought up before.
It would just be bad logistics, given that they have already abandoned the supreme efficiency of the "everyone is bi" approach.

How so?
This is the closest I can find in terms of lesbian sex dialogue:
So yeeeah, I think that person was mis-remembering. Looking through the banter dialogue on the DA wiki, I can't find any conversations between Isabela and Merrill about f/f sex at all except when it's Isabela questioning Merrill about hooking up with Hawke.
