Straight males seem to often get a smaller choice in regards to race... btw Im bi, so i always get the most choice  its not a personal grievance, just an observation that straight males have only had one non human LI... i think that includes DAI, unless i have missed something.

It's not like any other orientation has had a plethora of races to choose as LI either, except for those of us that are bi/pan.

Okay, think about it like this: Representation gives the chance for writers to tell the stories of different types characters.  Reflecting aspects of real life into a story can make for dynamic stories.

 

All else aside, aren't you sick of seeing the same things in video games over and over again?  

To an extent yes but then again if it never changed I wouldn't necessarily be upset, I'm just the type of person who just doesn't get upset I'm a laid back person and I don't get offended or upset easily that's how I was raised, Only way your gonna see me upset is if Sera ends up race gated against humans lol then I'll be upset

1)he is a male so for straight males he would be no more than friend

 

2)and he is a Qun spy(i  and many was dissapoint that he is not a true tal-vashot)...and this is a problem as with Templars and demons butchersas Cullen and Cole in our party...if he betray me for Qunari i would try to kill him

 

PS as i remember Varick officially loves only bianka and thats all

Why do you guys want to know who the last 2 LIs are so badly? For me I like finding things on my own and not relying on my meta knowledge as to whom I'm going to sleep with first on my playthrough.

@Super So, you're telling me that you'd be fine with another decade of AAA games having all of their main characters look just like this?   The games often times make it very clear that they are in love with a woman in some fashion.  They are almost never gay or bisexual, unless player choice is involved; they are almost always 100% straight, with the exception of Sheploo down there.

 

 

Doesn't that look a little dull to you?  That's part of the reason why representation for everyone is important, and this includes the way we handle romance stories in video games.

i like Javic(and Kasumi(many was like to have her as Li option) with Zaed )so i hope for that

 

especially many would be pleased if devs also make at least some new Li(companions/advisors or not) options for non-humans Inquisitors who is majority of Inquisitors(6 vs 2) but if not females(who have bull and solas) but male non-humans have a real lack of options in the terms of morality/realism(someone like Cassandra, Vivienne and Josephine  maybe can romance with some dwarfs(even if many dwarfs does not considerate humans atractive, we even heard more with elf lovers that with humans) but this is at least strange with kossith and elf, especially with mages)

 

the only thing that i do not like in day one dlc is that it was on the exclusives and not in common(what have a files and need only activation by some few mb, what can be called as a "patch") versions....

 

In any event, they've explicitly said it isn't going to happen. To do it they'd have to include relevant data on the disk that ships and they've apparently gotten tired of the perception that by paying for and downloading the DLC, all we're doing is unlocking content that we technically already owned but can't access- which they deny to be the case, but don't want to encourage the perception.

 

I suspect we might get a Golems/Witch Hunt/Legacy/Mark of the Assassin style DLC which will be contained, take us to a new region, and might include temporary party members that may function as more limited romance options, but we aren't getting full companions that would be available for the whole game.

Because we already know 6 of them.  I already know who I'm going to 'try' to sleep with.

There is some awesome guys up there, agreed.  

 

I don't think they needed to all be straight white guys with stubble to be badass characters though.  Folks asking for more minority representation, whether it be women, PoC or the LGBT community, wants the game companies to allow us all to see that badass in more than just that way as shown above.  This includes in love arcs as well.

Just cuz. I like to know. I think, if Bioware didn't reveal any followers or LI's, then I'd be fine not knowing. But, the more they release, the more I want to know. It's a terrible cycle, really.

Most of them are just generic though

My favorite so far is the AC: Unity cover.  Forget not having women; those clowns made the same guy four times with slightly different facial hair. 

 

@TK I'd like to know because of race gating myself.   If I can't romance a character with a certain race, I would prefer to know ahead of time.  It not only makes planning certain romance arcs to try much easier for me, but it also cuts down on big disappointment for me when I fire up the game.
