I think this is Vivienne in the newest Orlesian pet fashions.
Oh Maker/Ancestors/Creators help that poor creature.
That does fit Viv pretty well though

This was a nice unwind from the seriousness, I'm glad this happened.
I just hope we can keep coming up with nice little distractions like this until we get the info we want and can work the negative out of our systems

Wildlifequisition, Disneyquisition, what songs from musicals would they sing (Disney and otherwise)...
Fun can be just as endless as negativity I think.

Agreed I think we can keep this going as long as needed. The Disneyquisiton suggestions sounds particularly fun by the way.
Edit: Is it weird for the song suggestion one for Cole popped into my head right away?

Actually, I agree with the fact that the game is lacking anti-chantry characters (and LI). But we don't know everything about companions yet.
Sooooo mayyyybbbbeeee IB is open-minded and I'm not only talking about bedding everyone (this ****).

He is that open minded. He's bisexual and non-race gated. He was confirmed last weekend. He's also currently a member of the Qun, but it's complicated. So there's a character that I don't think it's going to love the Chantry all that much.

Wait where does this "everyone is pro-chantry" thing from?
Varric, Sera, Cole and IB does not strike me as pro-chantry. We don't really know whether Josephine or Blackwall are pro-chantry (unless I missed something). Vivienne is pro-circle, but that doesn't have to mean she's pro-chantry.
So it's really just Cassandra, Cullen and Leliana. How's that the "majority" of the party?

I didn't join the BSN until pretty late and mainly lurked in Scuttlebutt so I missed a ton ^^; Ah well not a big deal now right?
They started cause of the hat didn't they? Other than the headwear I can't think of them being similar all that much^^;

I think maybe it is a bit slanted towards Chantry supporters, but this is especially so if you're straight, since Cassandra and Cullen are among the most pro-Chantry in the group. If you're doing same-sex relationships, Dorian and Sera make it much less pronounced.
For bisexual options, Iron Bull is not a Chantry supporter, but I wouldn't romance him if I were a mage/pro-mage. The Qun is like tenfold worse towards mages than the Chantry. Vivienne is a pro-circle mage, which is also not great if you're pro-mage. Josephine's actual views are a pretty big question mark, but she's a friend of Leliana's and Antivans tend towards strong Chantry support. The remaining male possibilities all seem to be pretty politically neutral. Varric and Solas neither seem to be allied with any religion to a strong extent. Blackwall hasn't given a strong impression of it, either, and the wardens tend to not favor other political groups.
It seems that the Chantry slant is most pronounced if you're a straight male and least pronounced if you're a gay male. I don't think we can always expect to see LIs from every political background for every demographic. That's stretching a bit hard. It has been noted in the "tropes" thread that strong Andrastrians tend to be hetero, though.

I didn't say that the majority was pro-chantry. I simply stated that I want contrary views on the matter. Varric and Sera are neutral parties IMO.

I have to say that I can understand why people want non-humans races to have more presence, even aside from the fact that they're part of what makes fantasy settings great
I mean, after all, human is a privileged race, even if not all humans are, as individuals and as part of some of specific social classes and groups, but the same goes for white people, and that doesn't stop white people from being privileged. And, in terms of representation, it's never good to see a universe only or majoritarily from the perspective of the privileged. Of course we already had a lot of companion that are not humans, and in DAO we couldplay other races too, so I'm not saying underprivileged points of view are completeley absent from the story. But I do understand people wanting more of that, and I understand that it can have "political" value, even if elves, dwarves and qunaries are not real races and they don't need "representation".
Also, very OT and very old, but I have to mention it: thinking about what some people it's saying about Blackwall being too generic (something that has also being mentioned a lot in the other thread about favoruite companions), what if it's not about he being generic, but about him being very important plot-wise, and maybe in a very unexpected way, so information about him must be handled carefully? I do think that gray wardens are going to be really important in DAI inquisition and I'm betting on that part of the plot being more relevant than the mages vs templars and orleasian civil war parts. I love gratuitous speculation, sorry ![]()

Even without considering IB (which i would. If we go by this logic as can say that a person that hates Chantry/spirits/qunari/templars/mages is even more screwed), there are Solas, Sera, Varric, Blackwall and Dorian who aren't from those factions, plus Josephine, which isn't a member of the Chantry. That's 6 characters out of 12 not part of the Chantry. Seven with IB. Not to mention you put together things you are unrelated to each other. By your logic of putting together pro-Chantry/qunari, we already have half of companions in DAO like this.but Alan there is no content for dwarfs, not a single li and lacking of dwarven companions(using Ogren in origins and awakening and varrick in 2 games..they was a good characters i like them but sigrun was good too and dagna and they as many others deserve to be companions/advisors too), nothing for females and males...
QunariKossith, at least females have a Bull...i understad that it is a new race what devs give to players and they are not common especially in south Thedas..so i can understand about difficulties especially with kossith female companion and Li
elves, at least females would have a solas(i would not count, but sera is too for females)..but this is a less what we have in DA2 for hawke and it not make sense for not having equal elven companions and li especially in 2 kingdoms as Ferelden and Orlais who as Tevinter have a lot of elves and they have a value in DAI story...not understand why we does not have any dalish represence(companion/advisors/li) in our Inquisiton party, we even can support elves and our Inquisitor can be dalish
and thats all, and yeah its kinda unfair and not for those who is play for non-shems heroes(6 vs 2 humans) but and for those is not a pro Orlais/Chantry/Templars/Qunari...DAO and DA2 was more equal in such things
The race composition is the only think i can somehow understand, but we still have 4 non humans plus a spirit.
On the dalish, they created three dalish companions between DAA and DA2. On the other side, we never truly had an elf that grew in the alienage. I like dalish, but I don't think it's necessary for every game to have one as a Follower.

I think it's just inconsistent handling of the character interviews, honestly. Some characters have a lot of extra information floating around about them, but several characters have really only got their profiles and what people have been able to get out of their writers on Twitter. Josephine, Solas and Blackwall are all solidly in the group lacking much official information. Different writers gave out different amounts of information in their interviews. Sera didn't even get structured questions, which was strange. Blackwall was one of the earlier ones and the answers were quite vague for him. Solas and Josephine were later and much more specifics were given about them. I feel like it's just down to luck of how much their writer wanted to tell us, though. Many of the writers specifically mentioned how relationships were with other companions and things like that, but Blackwall's writer did not. I don't really think everything concerning that could be a massive spoiler. The only similar we've heard is from Weekes that Blackwall and Solas seem to have a decent relationship, which would imply he's probably not too harsh on apostates. I wouldn't say this information was probably held back for plot reasons, though. I think it's really just that Blackwall fans have been a little unlucky on info releases.

Oh, well, you're probably right... I did have fun for 10 minutes imagining Blackwall was going to play a very unexpected role in DAI, though
Who am I kidding? I still do
the gray wardens being closely connected with the Big Bad is my favourite theory
(though it's not elaborated enough to qualify as a theory, but, well...

Well, Corypheus is specifically mentioned on the timeline and he's been a favorite speculation for a major villain in DA:I. We know there's some kind of problem with the wardens. They showed the Inquisition fighting wardens in one of the trailers. So, there could be significant plot relevance for Blackwall whether or not they've been keeping him quiet for story reasons.

That would be an awesome twist !
The Big Bad is in fact the Warden. Oh my.
There was a "IGN rewind" video about DA:I and they actually evoked this theory ^^.
